Re: Poll: Rate this year's BotCon exclusives
My faves are Spinister and Kick-Off. I had to buy a Spinister. That mold is pretty sweet and i totally LOVE the colours and the character.
I'd love to get Kick-Off but those Ebay prices are pretty crazy.
Other than those two i couldn't care about any of the rest in the least.

I voted ****. I have to be honest, I wasn't feeling these guys at first, but they really are growing on me (the SG figures especially). They're not as cool as last year's figures, but I like them a lot.

Re: Poll: Rate this year's BotCon exclusives
There are some nice ones, and some I could happily pass on. Ducktopunch and Spinister only seem to be on ebay as a pair, and I nearly bought one just to "get to da chopper", but sense prevailed. Metalhawk looks damn nice, but I'm hoping (in vain, likely) for a version that looks like his IDW look, or at least isn't so overtly a Pretender. Overlord just wasn't, and the SG guys don't really do it for me. Those InsectiJunkions are a bit fancy, but I don't think they'd fit in my collection. A 3 pack of alternate G1-movie-esque colours and I would possibly have sold my granny for them though.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.

Botcon 2006 and 2007 are my favorite two years, followed by 2008, 2005 and 2011 respectively.

I say that having them in hand.
Set looks WAY better in person.
Negatives:
-Metalhawk, just doesn't work out well.
-SG Tracks isn't a true red.
-SG Magnus and Prime are too small, though that is not the Club's fault.
Positives:
-Junkions, Kick Off, and Spinnister are all OUTSTANDING.
-Soundwave is really nice in a surprise turn of events.
-Treadshot is gorgeous, best figure in the set.
-SG Octopunch is strange but works considering the fiction.

YES! I bought a Spinister cause i was totally blown away over those colours and how well they work on that mold. Glad to hear it was money well spent.

4 stars, mainly for the reasons Counterpunch stated.
I may not have endorsed the set because I'm ready for the end of Shattered Glass, but I am more or less pleased with most of the pieces.

(****)
This set DEFINITELY looks way better in person. Those mock ups on the Botcon website really were bad.
My favorite pieces from the set are (in order of fav to least fav):
1)Kickoff
2)The Bard of Darkmount. (The colors were just really nice looking on this guy)
3)Spinister
4)Junkions
5)Treadshot
SG Soundwave really was nicer then I though as well. I hate the mold, but I find myself really liking this figure.
Least favorite is Octopunch for me, I split the cost of this exclusive set with another Botconner, so I grabbed Spinister and he grabbed Octopunch.
SG Prime looks good, but I prefer the original.
Least favorite is Gigatron. He head just looks kinda off on that body. To big maybe. IDK.
Metalhawk, I really dislike the human head, but his paint apps are really nice.
SG Tracks and Magnus are the middle ground for me. Just what I thought they would be.
I gotta say that I loved my SG shelves before, but now that we have more bots and cons added, man, it's just so nice. Especially the SG Decepticons, since they were really out numbered. As for the SG Autobots, I have no room at all on the shelve.
