Profile: Skydive is more interested in reading about jet fighters than being one, He's more likely to have his face stuck in a hologram projection of famous Cybertronian air battles than to be in the air himself. It's not that he's a coward- he's just fascinated by the science of aerial warfare. But even though he's a somewhat reluctant member of the Aerialbot team, he is invaluable- his knowledge of aerial military tactics is without equal. His biggest fault, if you could call it that, is he doesn't realize how smart he really is. At least everyone else around him does.
Abilities: The information-storage capacity of Skydive's cerebro-circuitry is greater than most Transformers'. This enables him to record instantaneously any flying motions he sees, and, within the limits of his design, duplicate them himself. Thus, he's able to simulate the techniques of almost anyone he's studied as well as the gliding patterns of flying creatures he's watched. He is possibly the most skilled flyer of all the flying Transformers. His maximum speed is Mach 2.6 and range is 1400 miles. In jet mode, he can shoot laser-guided missiles with a range of 80 miles. In robot mode, he uses a nega-gun, which shoots a beam that cancels the bonding force between molecules. Only objects held together by the strongest molecular bonds can resist crumbling to dust when hit by the beam.
Weaknesses: Sometimes, in duplicating the flight of another, Skydive pushes his design beyond its limits. This often results in mid-air stalls. He can usually recover before crashing, but while stalled, he is completely vulnerable to attack.
Sample:
The air rippled like water as two F-14 Tomcats soared right past him. He felt them strike against his body, as if the distortions of air and sound waves were tangible. They were to him, anyway. He watched as three new jets soared into the area from the opposite direction, and traveling at much greater speed before. His optical sensors locked on one of the jets and he immediately studied its entire body. When he had a full set of schematics, he began looking into what the peoples of this planet called "internet". It was there that he learned what these jets were - F-22 Raptors. Surely the information he had gathered here would prove useful for the future of Aerialbots. He circled around the air base once more and then went shotting straight up into space, straight home.
Skydive descended near Iacon and landed as the bridge extended. A small section would slide away as he got nearer to the doors, but never enough to make him fall. Once he was inside the Autobot city, he proceeded to the command center and uploaded the data he had gathered into the main database. Next, he called up a hologram of some of the maneuvers he recorded the Tomcats doing, taking careful notice of every last movement to ensure that he would perform them properly. Once that was done, he called up a hologram of what the "internet" had called an Apache helicopter. It was armed to the teeth, rather large, and seemed like it could carry multiple people. If the Autobots found a way of transforming into something like an Apache - the chief difference being that it would need to carry giant robots instead of fleshy humans - then they could turn the tide of the war in
their favor.
"Earth certainly is an excellent research zone." He mumbled to himself.
Approved. Start him in Nova Cronum with the other Aerialbots, and remember, the Autobots have not visited Earth (with the exception of the Dinobots and Jetfire) and know nothing about it yet.
