As for (original) parts hunting, in general prices have gone up, but personally it's the shipping that kills me. I think if you're an American living and shipping within, it's fine. But anything else is absolutely ridiculous. For small pieces that I buy from the States, I usually end up spending that same amount on shipping as I do the item in question

Repro parts are fine with me, in theory. Only ones I've ever seen though, are 3D printed, and look like ass.

I don't know what he's like these days (or if he's even still around) but a few years back when I was looking to complete Scorponok, I needed (and still do) Fasttracks hand gun. That part alone from Wheeljackslab was about $50US with about $20US+ for postage.
Come on mate, it's not even 2 inches long, it would fit in a small padded bag.

Well that was a whirlwind of a day.
With Friday being a local public holiday, I decided to have Wednesday and Thursday off as well to catch up on things around the house and then head to the "city" on Friday for movies and TF hunting.
Plus side to going on Friday would have been the possibility of further discounts at TRU (20% isn't cutting it TRU!), downside is I'd miss the Big W sale that ends on Thursday, and I so wanted to grab the classic Voltron boxset.
But plans being plans ... my partner wakes up this morning and finds a lump where lumps shouldn't be. So one emergency trip to the Doctor she's then booked in for scans this afternoon.
So off we dash to the city. We left early so I had plenty of time to hit up the shops.
Big W's sale had been going for a few weeks, so no Voltrons were left. They had however stocked up on old Titans Return figures. So I snapped up Krox and Quake for $10 each (current POTP figures are retailing around the $30-$35 mark) and Cosmos and Seaspray for $5 each. I already have them but I figure I might do some repaint of them.
Ducked to Target, not expecting to find much (other than over-priced) and had basically given up when I spotted Roadtrap. Dug a little deeper as well and found Battleslash! And then hidden behind wave 1 Prime Masters were Alpha Trion and Alchemist Prime. All four snapped up!
Then I hit up TRU. Voltron has sold well, Transformers not so much. There were no Studio Series Thundercracker (like other TRUs around Australia). In fact, there wasn't much at all. Studio Series figures, wave 1 of POTP, but even with 20% off, Big W was still cheaper.
And then it was on to scans, turned out to be nothing thankfully.
I need sleep.

Yeesh, sorry to hear that Burn. My mother had a scare with lumps where they shouldn't be once (which lead to a completely ballsed-up surgery but that's another story)- medical emergencies involving loved ones are awful. Glad to hear it turned out to be nothing though. Take it easy man.

Dude, I'm glad things are okay! I have cancer history in my family, losing one aunt to stomach cancer and another to breast cancer. However, my mother is a 30+ year breast cancer survivor. Woot! But, yeah, plastic crack doesn't seem all that important when dealing with things like this. Seriously, I'm glad y'all can sleep well tonight!

Plastic crack was important though as it provided a great distraction!
When you're around 100km's (60 miles) from home, distractions are good, more so when there is literally nothing you can do but wait until you find out more.
Part of my second day off has already been hijacked. I'm involved in too many community groups. But at some stage I'll hit up the local K-Mart, there's new figures being found around Australia at the moment and my local K-Mart was moving things around so hopefully they've used that chance to restock.

One trip to K-Mart later, I head for my favourite aisle ... only to find Nerf guns.
Had to hunt around a bit to find where they'd moved all the action figures to, and as I'd hoped, they'd restocked!
So many Cindersaurs and Outbacks ...
But I finally have Outback!
I've been waiting for this guy since Brawn first appeared. Definitely going to have to track down a gun for him.
I also grabbed Rippersnapper as he was the only new deluxe there.
-edit-
Also came home to a junker G1 Metroplex. Picked him up cheaply for kitbashing purposes ... he's very much a junker, to the point he may not even be viable.
(FYI, those CW/POTP combiner limbs fit perfectly in his fist holes)

You guys have those low cut socks that are barely higher than the top of your sneakers?
I use to have a heap of them but they've slowly disappeared, you know how some washing machines and socks are.
So I dropped into K-Mart this arvy to grab some, and just on the off-chance there'd been a restock since I made some room the other day.
Off-chance paid off! Found and bought (ugh ... @ $35AUD each, good thing I sold some desert roses this afternoon as well) Moonracer and Blackwing.
Very happy to have Blackwing to go with Dreadwind (who I consider one of the stand out figures of the line).

Great robot mode (despite the massive backpack). Alt mode is fantastic in the front but sadly fails at the back.

It's true. I don't. Because I really don't have that much to share.
I mean sure, there is one vintage acquisition I haven't posted, but at this point I'm holding off until the next one arrives.
I did get Cindersaur the other day. Definitely not feeling regret over not getting Slash. Can't say I'm a big fan of Cindy, especially when put side by side with G1 Cinders.

I didn't feel compelled to get that mold, although I'm sure it's fun. Maybe if I find it on the cheap in the Slash variety I'll pick one up.

Two boxes today!
Let's start with the modern stuff before we go back in time. Straight from Japan via HLJ, because who knows if I would ever find them locally!

And now it's time for a trip back to the distant past. 1991 to be precise!
Got this guy a few weeks ago, I knew he had a bit of damage, the shaft connecting one of the missiles is broken off. I was okay with that. So here he is, ACTION MASTER POWERFLASH!

And today, a nice little bargain. This was actually two separate E-Bay auctions. I don't think the guy knew what he had considering he labelled the robot as "Constructicon".
Truth be told, I saw both auctions and kept scrolling, not realising they went together until I came across them a few days later. A quick search and yep, both auctions together equalled one complete ACTION MASTER AXER

Best part is, I don't think anyone else realised both auctions went together because combined with postage he only cost me $26AUD.
Action Masters though are still terrible. All floppy waists.

Dang Burn!! I have a soft spot for Action Masters. I have three but can only locate two. I had more, I'm fairly certain I know the person who stole them from me (along with anything else that is missing) when I was a kid.
That's really awesome!! Can't beat cheap auctions
