So! Thanks to customs, my LG Trypticon (which we now know is NO DIFFERENT than Hasbro's) is now almost a total of 400 bucks....



It's in hand now. I was so bitter about the cost and Takara's lazy ass that I thought I couldn't enjoy it. But then I opened it. I'm happy again

Got back from my local TRU, as expected, again no Chaos on Velocitron set, no sign of restocking yet the price tag is still present on the shelf!. Stop giving me hope and let me move on!!!

*ahem* Plenty to choose from this time, they restocked with... Titans Return Deluxe Wave 3. TLK has more exclusive stock now and RiD has the Combiner Sets now.

I didn't get any of those (the Infernocus set was tempting tbh, but awaiting further reports on QC), instead I went with something I was waiting for a long time:

I finally have him and I'm so happy! My wife thought he looked like a Mastodont (he kinda does with those long tusks), and even my mother-in-law thought he was cute.

Maybe next time I'll get Repugnus and Twinferno... once they get around to Grotusque!

Anyway, against my better judgement I broke down and bought Titans Return Topspin at my local comic shop for the rather decent price of £19.99 (I still can't believe Voyagers used to cost that much). He's pretty awesome, I love the transformation and he's really fun to mess with.

Received LG God Bomber from Mandarake. First time using them. The price was good but shipping made it only slightly cheaper than the $70 BBTS was recently charging for a new figure. But overall the experience was good. The figure seems fine. A little floppy but I'll get to that later. I think the item was advertised as having a damaged box, but I honestly can't see anything other than the fact that it's been opened. The packaging looks better than most new boxes I've received. The shipping box had a small dent, but it was well packaged inside and everything was fine.

This was also the first time I've used SAL, and it took just under a month to get to me. The most excruciating part is that it was in NJ about 3 miles from me since Friday morning and I still didn't get it until today.

As for the figure, I've only handled it briefly. It seemed loose and floppy out of the box in vehicle mode. One of the forearm pieces fell off as I was taking it out, and a few other pieces untabbed fairly easily. It's standing on my coffee table in bot mode and it's a lot better. The shoulder area is a tad loose, and that forearm connection is fairly weak. But at least it looks nice. My Magnus Prime is still sitting in my POL until Overlord arrives, so can't even have it in the mode I mainly bought this for.

Mandrake are excellent. They do mark EVERY boxes as "damaged" just to avoid those annoying MISB collectors who treat boxes like premium postage stamps or comic books.

Be cheap when using SAL, but wait the time. Add 5 or 10$ and the package take just a week or even two or 3 days to arrive! Sometime, depending on the item or the size of your order, you will not be able to chose the SAL option.

Best example is when I bought a used but boxed and 100% complete MP Ultra Magnus. Only 10000JPY but shipping alone was 5000JPY. A shame shipping was so expensive but the thing came into Canada and in my hands in 3 days after I got the shipped notification! The cherry on top of that delicious sundae is that I avoided customs too. In the end, I paid the cheapest price on the market for a MP Magnus. And that include the shipping.
