After removal of old stickers with a little help from WD40, is it safe to use an alcohol swab on my G1 bots to prep them for new reprolabels?

might be safe but in rare cases it's not the chance is your
I use windex and leave a little wet windex when i apply decals it makes them lay down super snug the windex squeeze the excess windex out from under the decal then you have the best laid decal ever.

Yea, it's safe.
The alcahol evaporates very quickly.
It's probably safer than the WD-40

Alright, getting some conflicting opinions here.
Do I even need the alcohol swab, with decals lay down and bond on a surface that once had WD40 on it?
Silver Galvatron, is there a basis for you thinking alcohol with pull up the paint?

If you had WD 40 on the surface yes you need to clean it off or the decal may not stick, I use windex
No it is not safer to use on plastics...

No damage can be done with the windex? Windex will remove the oil base from WD40 I imagine?

Alcohol can remove or smear paint. If the section you apply alcohol to has no paint, then you will be okay. Just don't douse the figure with alcohol.

Windex is proven safe though, to degrease and prepare bots for reprolabels?
