"Classics" Dinobot Slag (toon style)

Postby ptitvite » Sun Aug 05, 2007 4:23 pm

Here ya go...another kitbashed Dinobot in the collection.
Now to let you guys know that I have the Rhino DVD's so I have no clue
what the true color scheme is since the remastered version has so many errors. but anyways, I'll keep it like that.

Enjoy!

hey Dak, nice to hear from you!
Thanks! I think some will prefer Sludge to Slag but they ended up being
so different styles...

When you finish all of them, bring them to TransformersCon. I'd love to see them in person.

Damn! I'm loving these guys! If I wasn't busy with other projects I'd probably want to try something like this. I love toon accuracy too!

so a couple questions:
about how many hours go into one of your bashes? I'm just curious because I'm timing myself on my current one.

Why the slightly lighter gray for this guy? Are they different on the dvds?

Is that going to be your permanent swoop, or just a stand in until you re-do a g1 swoop?
till all are one.

I can only give an estimate and even that is not accurate...Slag may have taken me about 12 full hours non-stop but spread it in a week since I have to wait for putty and paint to dry... and also to get inspired. Of course, doing another one should take 8 hours since I got the experience of doing my first.
As for the colors, I tried to match the toon style.
The upper legs are light grey but the remainings of his body are darker grey but that's only in my Rhino DVD's...
As for Swoop, I may kitbash one or take the Energon Swoop and give it a new color scheme and some mods to be more G1 but that's on hold for now.
