anyone ever want to conslidate their collection?
i'm a g1 mib collector. i don't even have that many pieces but i really want to just get down to 5 or 6 pieces and sell off the rest. i don't even display them as they just sit in the closet anyway. i can never pass up on a good deal or a piece i really like though.

Been working on it, myself. The movie was enjoyable enough for me that I'll be keeping several of those, a couple of choice molds from Cybertron, my lone Classic now (Ramjet - all the good of the seeker mold, none of Screamer's flaws), and some of my most precious stuff from BW. The rest is only around until it finally sells!

Up and out is the only way!
It MUST get bigger, no matter the cost!

I've consolidated my collection to focus on the figures I want the most. So that means many of my original G1 figures that have been sitting in storage since 1990 have been hitting eBay to fund my Binaltech and Masterpiece addiction. I've also managed to get all the Classics I wanted so I feel good about the focus of my collection now.

I keep saying "dont buy more" yet I keep buying more. I bought some cheap beast war toys only because they are all of a sudden characters in a comic book, now I'm thinking "as if I'm going to have shelf space for these".. i shouldnt' have bought em but oh well.

I try to keep the pieces of my collection scaled down to the ones I want the most. If I lose all interest in a piece I usually either try to sell it or find a good home for it. I don't like doing that but I feel like if my collection gets bigger than I want it to be, I'll lose interest.

I did a few years ago, went from 4 32 gallon rubbermaid tubs to 2 and then to 1 and a small box. That was right before Armada started. Now I get rid of a few things every time I get a few things. I just don't have to have everything, just what I like. I found myself getting rid of G1 stuff in favor of newer, more articulated versions of the same character. I'll always keep some of the G1 stuff, but for the most part, it's going away in favor of Classics and Alternators.
