Anyone know for sure why class size Octane will be in Classics 2.0???
I was under the impression in the beginning that the triple changers will be Deluxes like Astrotrain was but recently i've heard some say they think he's gonna be an Ultra class. So has anyone know for sure which it will be by either hearing it at botcon or comic con or another way?
Honestly I wish they'd just keep all of Classics/universe on a delux level unless they release Sixshot or Omega Supreme ofcourse or another tall bot.

I think Ryan's notes on the Hasbro panel hinted at him being an ultra, but recently most people seem to be working under the assumption that he'll be a deluxe. I would certainly prefer deluxe myself. As far as I know what was shown of him at Botcon was the early concept drawings rather than an early proto of the toy. Of the new stuff next year it seems to have all been designs rather than protos except for the Animated line. Unless the drawings were specifically marked 'ultra' or Hasbro went on the record and a few people that were at the panel can confirm it's more than a little hard to say.

Really? I don't remember them saying that. They weren't even sure there was going to be an ultra class. If he was an ultra, he'd be bigger than Prime and Megs. I don't think he was that big in the show. If I remember correctly, he was the same size as Starscream. Which would make him a deluxe.
All the triplechangers should be the same size, except maybe Broadside. He was a big guy if I recall.

Broadside and Astrotrain. They both fulfill transport roles so should really be larger. Recently ordered an oversized KO of Classics Astrotrain, hoping the quality isn't too shabby and that he reacts well to dye since I'll be going for more G1 toon colours on him.

It was generally implied at botcon, Octane would be a
voyager or an ultra.

Waaaaghlord you must provide pictures when you do attempt to dye that KO because if it looks good I'll have to try the same I really do like the Astrotrain mold.

Well my photography skills aren't up to much, this is going to be my first experience with dyes and I'll need to borrow my brother's camera, but since you asked nicely. He's on the way from China at the moment but hopefully I should have something to show off in the kitbash forum in two or three weeks time.

I wont be complaining about an Ultra Classics Octane, but I would prefer it if he was a Voyager.
Both his alt modes are fairly large (NASA put the Space Shuttle on the back of a Boeing after all), and a Petrol Tanker is the same size as a Trailered Prime, so maybe Ultra is the way to go, to keep him in a good scaled size.

Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

However big he ends up being I am so ready to buy him now.

Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

Thank you, trunks, I was just about to say that. Both of Octane's alt modes are big vehicles, so he should be big, too.
If I remember what I read correctly, Hasbro said that there's very little difference between Ultra and Voyager sizes from their point of view, so Classics 2.0/Universe won't even have any voyagers. If an alt mode warrents something larger than deluxe, then it will be an ultra.
Now I wish that Prime, Ultra Magnus, Starscream, and the other two retail seekers hadn't been released in Classics 1.0, but had been saved to be released as ultras in Classics 2.0. Ah well. Of course, since Hasbro had no plans to continue Classics, there was no point in saving any characters for the future. But I would have loved to see some of the Classics figures in a bigger size class.
And, oh, hey, waaaaghlord, where did you order the oversized KO Astrotrain from?
Thanks.

I thought the Ultra class was done
Last time I seen anything in the Ultra class was Cybertron.
Eh, hoping he's a Voyager. He would fit in more with the sizes of the Classics as a Voyager as apposed to an Ultra. Plus, I would prefer that anyway, I wouldn't want him bigger than Classic Devastator. Wouldn't look right(still gonna get him, though).

From ToplessRobot.com:• "Watching Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is marginally better than sh***ing your pants, but it takes a lot longer." Very well put.
