Anyone struggle with transforming movie Ironhide?

Postby Magnimus » Wed Jun 20, 2007 4:19 pm

I just got my Voyager Ironhide today (great alt mode, less than spectactular bot mode), and I had one heck of a time transforming him back into alt mode. I couldn't figure out how his body and waist folded up into the cab. It took me forever; the instructions seemed pretty vague to me.

Anyone else have this problem?

If you're doing it the first time, it's always gonna be tricky. Anyway, don't put in his hood and doors yet, so you can see what's going on inside. Ok, on his waist, there are two bars which fits into his chestplate, which has two slits in it. Try to align the bars into the slits so the blue spine which connects his upper and lower torso is parallel to the body. Once the waist is parallel, you move the legs up to the back, making sure that his thighs are bent backwards a bit, maybe one or two clicks should do it. That should put his legs at the correct position to be locked in place by the panels.

Thanks, but I figured out another way. I just take the cannons of the arms and leave the arms pointing out of the way, then I line everything up, and push the arms into place.

It is a bit tricky and as usual the instructions are useless. Great looking figure, but I worry he may not stand up to too much transforming before something breaks.

I love the figure, but I can never tell if I've done the back/vehicle roof right when I transform him to bot mode. The instructions are useless there--they don't even mention that whole area.

Here is one big clue never look at the instructions unless you forgot how to do something... they take you on the long road...
and lead you to what you want... after hours of Transforming...
