It all comes down on whether you've got any other version of those characters yet. Leader Brawl isn't significantly better than Deluxe Brawl, just a better size and some added weapons (and a slightly more complex transformation)
So if you've already got Deluxe Brawl and no Blackout yet, pick up those two. They're not that bad. My Blackout's automorph is faulty too, but it doesn't matter for mine can still be easily pushed in the correct position by hand. As a hunchback, he's rather small for a Voyager; his head is only slightly higher than a Deluxe's. He looks gorgeous in alt mode and his robot mode is a decent representation of the movie model.
Deluxe Scorponok has a cool alt mode and a great "spinning claw" action feature which works smoothly despite his arm articulation. His official robot mode totally forgettable, for it was a complete afterthought. Instead, you can transform him into a fanmade dragon or monster mode. This uses the end of his tail as a head on a dragon-like neck. His digging claws fold out to become feet and his robotmode legs become clawhands. It looks pretty nifty.
Leader Brawl is a very good figure and if I didn't have any of the three characters, I'd choose this one. His alt mode is very big and threathening-looking. His robot mode is suitably bulky and armed to the teeth. He's got weapons on his wrists, shins, shoulders and waist; claws, missile launchers and machine guns. He looks fairly accurate and poses well. His transformation from tank to robot is easy and fun, yet quite involving. But, transforming him back to alt mode is a pain in the behind. He's got these armor panels which unfold from his lower legs and plug to the sides of the tank, covering the entire lenght of the tracks with armor. Getting his arms aligned properly and getting the panels to plug in tightly without making them trigger the automorph 'flipping-back-and-folding-in-of-the-panels' feature is genuinly hard. It takes alot of practice to handle this part properly.
Overall, Brawl is the best, but be aware of his flaws. Prime remains the best Leader class by far.
