Think it's going to be challenging for Bold forms to compete and trump the FP stunticons and Menasor. I'm not impressed with The BF Versions, they look undersculpted, weird and too TF Animated sculpted.

The biggest complaint, I read about the FP Stunticons is that some think they are not Deluxe Scale. I measured each FP Stunticon limb and most clock in around 5 and 1/8 inches tall. 5 and 1/8 inch tall is the height of most small scale TF deluxes. Find it amusing when some compare the FP Stunticons to the tallest scale TF deluxe toys like 2.0 Cyclonus who was has a Six inch height robot mode.

Recently I keep seeing that some fans are saying AOE Leader scale Grimlock is not leader scale but Ultra Scale. Measured the robot mode from head to toe, It is a 9 & 1/4 inch height robot mode. Most AEC,TFA,TFP,RID and movie verse Leader scale toys clock in around Nine inch to 9.5 inches tall in robot mode. The Dinosaur mode is huge. So, I'd safely call this a leader scale toy.

I'm cautiously optimistic and would also like to see how this project fleshes out. Stunticons are my FAVORITE combiner team, but from the info we have so far I'm just not sure where something like this would fit in my collection.

Waiting game, but plenty of other products to pick up until then.

The last time I took photos of the FP stunticons next to a variety of deluxes, you accused me of using photoshop to deliberately make them look smaller. I dont even know how to use photoshop. Face it, the figures are small, scout class at best. Size isnt the only things the FP Stunticons were lacking. They were also over complex and no fun to transform. How many people havent touched their menasor since they got it in combiner mode ? That thing was a bitch to transform, especially motormaster. Another issue I personally had was concept cars that dont even exist in real life. I dont think alt modes should be based on one of a kind cars that sit in some private collection in Dubai. I would rather just have the classic G1 cars tha I have seen all of them in real life on the streets (with the exception being drag strips 3rd axle)

I already have the superior Menasor. FansProject raised the bar with this one.

I don't think these will ever make it to toy form, unless they're hiding a lot and really want to drag out the tease.

I feel like they're just showing their intentions to see if there's enough interest.

Thinking there going to show some Art,Info and possible early test shots at the summer conventions, Especially TFCon. To see if any fans interest if there for there products.

Don't like the Sculpting, It looks like TFA-TFP sculpting.

Don't like how skinny, narrow and punny BF Menasor looks. Need my 3rd party combiners to look bulky and powerful.

Agreed. As much as I rip on FP for their very stylistic design choices, in this case these guys went way too 'G1'. It looks like it hurt the articulation of the figure and he looks a bit too blocky.

I had forgotten all about this. Turned out to be a trainwreck it seems.

I like the G1 look. The G1 Menasor was a total brick, I always wished it would have a little more flexibility. This might just do it. I just need to see some poseability shots, as well as shots of the figure in color and in its separated mode.

In the meantime, I still wish a 3rd party company would do a Menasor kit for the 2011 BotCon Stunticons.

Hmm. In addition to some of the things others have mentioned having issues with, I don't like how the gestalt's legs are formed. Yes, technically it is very accurate to G1. Almost looks just out of the show! But as I mentioned in my recent review of the Fansproject version (*cough* Shameless Plug! *cough*), having the cars on the front of the legs was a deviation from G1 that I liked. To practically hide two thirds of the team away is one thing in animation... but for a sweet looking toy on the shelf? I want to see a Menasor that is proudly made up of the whole team!

Um... I've touched mine! Quite a bit! (My Menasor / Stunticons, that is. Get your minds out of the gutter, people!) In fact, I seem to recall you being rather impressed with my doing so when replying to my review of those toys. (Of course, the post of yours I am replying to here seems to predate your response to my review by about 16 hours... That's what I get for coming to this thread a bit late!)

But I'll say it again... While I certainly agree that there are some parts of the toy(s) that you want to be careful while manipulating, I don't understand the abject fear some people seem to have about touching him. I find him to be quite fun.

100% agree. Some of the transformations are challenging, but I love posing the combined mode, at the very least.

Well, so far I like it better than FPs, but that isn't saying much for me.

I'm still waiting to see what TFC has in store for this character.

Well, in this Menasor's defense (not that I'm personally planning on getting it) perhaps it will be good for people who want Stunticons that scale well with Legends class figures? This Menasor could look so cute as Titan Metroplex looks down at him, shrugs, and steps on him...

the proportions are weird. it looks slightly more posable than the g1. happy to pass on this

G1 Menasor was always the stupidest looking combiner. This guy is way too faithful to the old design.

FP's looks a lot better, although I really don't care for how the leg-bots just clip onto Motormaster's extended legs, basically contributing nothing to the combined mode save for leg armour.

At this point, Hasbro's is actually looking the best (although the FP version is certainly not bad).

You know what would be really badass? A Menasor styled after the Animated Stunticon set, complete with female (or crossdressing for maximum lame pun action) Dragstrip.

I actually quite like how Fansproject handled the legs. The legs would have been way too thin, and probably quite unstable, if they had been made from just the cars. (Also, it probably would have hampered the design of the cars quite a bit, if they had had to include a combiner port somewhere on them.) And frankly (although, granted, you did state a dislike for the animation model) having the cars attached like that is rather like how it was in the cartoon, except that the cars are attached to the front of the legs (allowing them to remain visible members of the team) rather then the back.

Kinda surprised that BF Motormaster is almost MP-10 Height in robot mode. If BF Menasor is 29 CM, 11.4 inches in height. This means BF Menasor only grows Two inches more in height than BF Motormaster does.
