Bonecrusher's total screen time is... (and I timed it...)

Look, is real simple, you cant establish both sides like the cartoons did over years. So, he had to establish heroes, then give you a threat, which in the next movie, if he is smart enough will give them their shine. I actually liked it, and if we are all bent out of shape, then lets all go to film school, and get multi-million dollar budgets and make one ourselves. Hey, its Bay, but is the best Bay.

Yeah, you can. You don't have to develop the lame humans we have to put up with. They got more screentime than the Transformers did in total. Why not just call the movie "EARTH"? Hell, at least in G1, we saw the Transformers first. After all, the movie's called "Transformers", you'd think they'd give us less humans.

So true. Most of the time you only heard the decepticons, growling. Next time I hope well see a little decepticon banter back and forth with each other. But I guess you gotta wait for the true trashtalkers like soundwave for that. lol

There is a thing called a budget that prevents giant computer generated robots from being on screen at all times.

I completely agree...There has to be some more development somehow...The autobots have it with their human interaction...The decepticons need to be more than the sinister evil bad guys who want to kill and break stuff...Hopefully the writers will translate more of their personalities into the next one

I kept thinking that Starscream should've said something to Megatron when Megs had Sam cornered (?) on the rooftop. Starscream is NOT the silent type.

As I said, less humans, more screen time. Less humans= Less money wasted on actors, obviously.

Prime is the leader of the Autobots.
Bonecrusher is just some constructicon.
Of course he was going to get his ass handed to him on a platter.

Except the actors were actually paid very little compared to other actors in other films, this was to stop the budget going through the roof, since it costs more to put Optimus Prime in a film than Shia Labeouf.
I still don't understand how people can say "there were too many humans in the movie" - I'm still impressed at how much the TFs were actually present in the film, they are on screen for at least 80% of the movie. The last 30 minutes is basically ALL TRANSFORMERS. People complain that the movie is told too much from the POV of the humans, if that were the case there would have been NO scenes with JUST the TFs, but there were plenty.

But looking from a different standpoint: Bonecrusher probably left too many openings with his berserk method of attacking, which gave Prime the chance to decapitate him. That and the the fact that not many can match the mightiness of Prime.
That mighty mightness of Prime turned to zero when Megatron came around.
What a pity.

Actually they should call the movie "HUMANS".

And we'll have to wait for a Trans Fan director to replace Bay. Or at least a director with good enough Transformers background, even if he's not a fan.
Bay knew nothing about Transformers. It's just a bunch of toys for him. Until Speilberg convinced him this could make it big, and enroll him in Transformers SPEED-LESSONS.
Like speed-dating.

I seriously DOUBT that 80%. More like the other way around.
You shouldn't count the car mode scenes. Because these are NOT Transformers, but just DUMB cars that don't talk, don't react, don't have any kind of life at all.
Real transformers interact with each other all the time. This holds true to both factions, Autobots or Decepticons. They're supposed to keep on talking a lot in their alt modes. I see ONLY Decepticons do that in this movie. And they do that in monologue ONLY, never in dialogue with each other.
Really WEIRD.

...Did you take your pills this morning?
Here's the problem with a talking car, you're gonna like this story: How many talking cars do you see in real life? None, right? At least I hope none, because then we need to up your dosage.
So, there's no such thing as a talking car, and, in this movie, no one has ever encountered a talking car. That ruins the whole point of Robots in Disguise. If a car talks, then it's conspicuous, and there's no real disguise.

Yeah, well I've got a question for you: How many giant robots do you see in real life? How many hot chicks do you see banging total losers in real life? And as far as talking goes, it's called radio contact. You know, based on the fact that they'd probably have radios built in.

Poor Bonecrusher.
After watching the movie again, does anyone else agree that all the shots of Brawl weren't rendered all well as all the other bots in the movie? I mean that the shots of him in the movie didn't look as realistic as the rest of the TF's, almost as if he was added in at the last minute or something...

None. Hence the whole "Pills" thing. No such thing as a real transformer, but if they did, it'd probably ruin the disguise if the cars could talk.
Damolisher wrote:How many hot chicks do you see banging total losers in real life?
Don't see how that is, at all, relevant.

You ever see Ghost in the Shell? People could communicate in a near-telepathic way. Perhaps these Transformers do the same? (Hence why no one thought it was odd that a police car or F-22 Raptor was making bizarre noises as it passed.)

Yeah, well you can't really call it a maybe. Radio contact is what I think is a possibility until we get an official excu...er, reason from the writers.

Good point. Like what the Decepticons did.
They're talking to each other, and yet, they're miles apart. In the case of Starscream, probably hundreds of miles away. Do they use cellular phones (handsfree) or satellite link up?
I would be more convinced if they do that in short distances. Like earshot distance, or at most, walkie talkie distance.
Otherwise, they'd be too powerful communications-wise. Megatron should have used that to his advantage by carefully coordinating the attack from miles away. Like what real-life terrorist do. Even ordinary military units knows that.
Instead, the Decepticons arrived one after the other, and each was gang-up by the smaller and weaker Autobots.
The Decepticons can communicate in alt mode. Why can't the Autobots?
During the chase scene, the whole "Robots in Disguise" point was already thrown out of the window. Everybody involved in the operation, including the military, already know the yellow Camaro and his buddies are Transformers. No need for them to play coy anymore. Especially not when lives are at stake, and they're running in constant danger.
Heck, the black dude in the military has a short wave radio constantly up on his face. Even in the situation when the whole military network was down, these guys have to come up with the inferior short wave radios, because communication is always VITAL in scenes like this.
So why not the Autobots communicate among themselves too? and with they're human friends?
It's a dangerous chase, so they have to put aside the "disguise" issue, and coordinate even in car mode.
MAYBE i should start taking PILLS to undertand the Bay logic in this movie.
Shadowman wrote:...Did you take your pills this morning?
MAYBE someone here OUGHT to take PILLS too, to get the point.
