good afternoon ya'll
today's topic of discussion is that of "interchange robot series #1: convoy" (icr convoy).
icr convoy is bootleg of mpc prime, albeit micronized and engineered a tad differently. the basis of his transformation is the same as most primes - head flips back, arms tuck in, legs collapse and then fold.
first off, i think this toy is awesome, lol. so much detail.. great paint job, deep panel lines, and to top - it has a unique transformation sequence..
check out icr convoy in truck mode first. he's awesome.. great detailing, pretty sharp mold with distinct panel lining.

ain't he grand? notice that gray thing (windguard? i dunno) on top of the cab? the thing that makes him look a la motormaster? well that gray thingy comes off during his transformation and becomes his crotch guard!

icr convoy comes with prime blaster (not included in pic), a scaled-megatron!! (it's the perfect size for MPC starscream), modified plasma-axe that fits into his fist, and 1 member of the 6-builder construction team.
icr convoy's joint are very tight and stiff. the level of detail is bar-none. even the shoulder smokestacks pivot like mpc prime's! i would have to say that whoever fashioned this toy was probably a prime-fan or a tf-fan at the very least.
some comparisons:
head: looks like mpc prime, transforms like g1 prime
torso: looks like a hybrid of mpc and g1 prime
waist mechanism: similar to mpc prime (swivel joint)
arms: looks and transforms like mpc prime; fists simply slide into arms and arms fold into body. plus, smokestacks pivot, lol.
legs: looks like mpc prime, transforms like g1 prime
crotch piece: unique, lol
quite a steal for $15 i'd say. it's unfortunate that i've not been able to spot icr convoy in stateside.. no big lots, no walmarts, no chinatowns, no flea markets.. nada.. this was fresh off the streets of mainland china. so if yer lucky enough to come in contact with icr convoy, i'd say scoop him up!
well that's it for now, my fellow seibertronians. next review's topic: Changeofgun (G1 Megatron). stay tuned!
peace!
