stopped at the BB near me on the way home today and was told there're a total of 20 figures that would be put out tomorrow morning on a "special" display. I think it will last at least thru tomorrow night, but who knows. All it takes is one crazy guy that plans to flip this crap.

Yeah, when i asked it was "No we dont have them yet"...looks at the computer(about 6ft away) "um, no pretty sure we dont have them"

so i went to the other BB near me and was told they are holding them till tuesday.

i have to freakin' work so im sending my wife to to best buy for me... i told her to get there a little before they open but she doesnt wanna wait around, i hope she can get me the 2 figures! and she better... for her sake! j/k atleast shes going...

I'll be at the BB in Carpentersville, IL tomorrow when the doors open and then I may cruise up to Crystal Lake, IL.

is there a limit on how much you can buy of these? this being an exclusive, you can expect that theres gonna be hoarders and scalpers tryna get their mitts on these.

they should impose a limit - so everyone gets a fair shot, but they probably won't. Same thing for people who collect SW -the htf McQuarrie figs get scalped out. This'll be even harder since it is an exclusive to one store. Hope they put em online. Good luck TF fans. If you have the leader class megs -isn't that good enough though?

any pics of the two ratchets? I wanna get him, well is already getting him, but that megs omg looks good but too bad to get a 2nd...

I went to the Best Buy in Schaumburg, IL and they had one exclusive Megatron and two Ratchets. I was there a couple of minutes after the store opened and I think they only put out one case at a time. They had the toys on top of the DVD display. My brother went to the Best Buy's in Carpentersville and West Dundee and reported the same thing.

Damn! I was there 10 mins after it opened. All gone. They have a stand for the DVDs and the figures (gone) on top. I asked them how many were there and it was 4. Yeah, right. I couldn't get to the BB by my job until my 11am break...one hour after they opened. They received a total of 4, yes 4 Exclusives, which ostensibly sold out in the first 5 minutes. In their defense they did allow me to order them, but I had to pay up front, and of course, they have no set date on when they'll be in, so who knows.

Thanks again Best Buy. I guess that I forgot that you're trying to be WalMart now; cheap out on everything and be about as reliable as a neighborhood crack-addict. Why would you advertise these things for a week straight and then not have them? Oh, because you're Best Buy...

Hear, hear -- I love how they had eighty billion copies of the movie but only an armful of figures. Considering how much I hated the movie, that really makes me dislike Best Buy right now!

Sold out at the one close by too. I went there around 11am. Good that I wasn't planning to get one. Just want to check it out on my ay home after picking up DVD from Target. But the Metallic figures are nowhere to be found. I asked the employees, they said they were all sold out, and there was a line this morning before the store opens. Oh well.

I hit and called all 5 best buys in my city at noon, and all gone. I can't believe the balls on best buy to put something like this in THE WEEKEND SALE AD and then only have 4 OF EACH FIG!!!
That's so near to being bait and switch.
The blueshirt guy said there are 3000 more at the national warehouse, but he had no idea when theyd arrive. I just bit the bullet and bought one off of ebay, as the extra $10 the scalper is getting me for is far less than the gas and time I'd have to spend trolling best buys for the next 2 months to probably come out empty handed.

Hasbro and Best Buy, you two should get a room... because you BOTH SUCK!

The Best Buy I went to had about 12 each of Ratchet and Megatron. I was the first person there (got there at 9:15 and the store opened at 10:00). By the time the store opened, there were at least 20 people behind me waiting to get a shot at those toys. The ones I talked to seemed to be new to collecting and talked about how hard it is for them to try and get the Botcon seekers off ebay.

I answered a lot of questions about Botcon in general and then the store opened.

I was able to get one each for me and an extra Megatron for a friend.

I went to Best Buy around 11:15 am. Got my DVD ($14.99), free lithograph, Ratchet ($14.99 w/ DVD discount) & Megs ($19.99). There were only 4 bots left when I arrived (2 of each) so I guess I got lucky considering I arrived late.

Oh, no doubt! At least that one would look good just sitting there since he's no fun to transform...why the heck do they say he's a 3 on the "conversion" chart? Haven't bought leader Megs, though...if they re-paint him and he looks that good I'll actually pick him up.

I don't usually do this, but I'm going to vent...

Like many of you, I went to BB over my lunch hour - 11:30 by the time I got to the nearest one. Of course, they are no where to be found so I ask two blueshirts standing around with their thumbs up their butts. The one guy was totally clueless, the other one (who looked like he was thrown out of Good Charlotte) got snotty with me:

"Oh, they sold out the minute we opened. If you weren't here there's no way you'd get one."

I was planning on buying some other DVDs and such there, regardless of whether I bought the TFs - until that little j.o. got cute with me. I was more aggravated at the clerk than at the fact that there were no TFs.

Once I got over being talked down to by a Tom DeLonge wanna-be, I got p.o.'ed over the fact that I basically had no chance at getting these figures at retail. I took as early a lunch as I could and was not about to take off work to get two figures that I wasn't that psyched about to begin with.

Like I said, I'm frustrated and venting to the only people who understand my plight.

That display only had room for about four figures, so if they had more than one case they would had to wait until the first case sold out.

i went to best buy and hour after they opened and all sold out of voyagers. a friend called me who was at another best buy during opening, and they didnt have any voyagers to begin with.... this was a popular best buy and there was a line outside and they didnt have any figs for anyone . man were these people pissed off.
