Decisions
I can't decide whether to get Transformers Cybertron Deluxe Downshift for £9.99 or Transformers the movie Arcee for £10.99, ano its only a £1 between them but, which ones gonna be worth more in like ten years time, the Transformers Cybertron Deluxe Toys or the Current movie toys

Planning on opening them? Resale value in ten years? Its difficult to say as both had a widespread release but were not characters featured in the show/movie. Arcee will probably be the most valueable in ten years time but dont expect loads even then. More hope for a better value on her if her character shows up in Transformers 2

welcome to Seiberton! as for your question, it really depends of whom you're a fan of. if you like biker chicks, go for Arcee. if you like hot rods, go for Downshift.

now, as for the question of worth, it's not becoming to always think of "what a figure's gonna be worth in a few year's time" when buying toys. it will only exacerbate you and cause you pain whenever faced with decisions such as these. buy it because you want it and you want to add it to your collection, not judge it on it's value in a few years' time. that's basically not the spirit of TF collecting in the first place, and if that's your mindset, trust me, you'll never really enjoy collecting TFs for what they're worth.

all the comments above are the HUMBLE OPINIONS of the said user only. 'nuff sed.

Good point. And I could be totally wrong here, but I'm guessing the movie really caused a sky rocket in price for G1 figures, especially MISB, no? What are the chances there will be something like that to stir up huge demand for these figures again 10 or 20 years from now? Sure, there will probably still be collectors out there, but without the demand I don't know if it'll be a great investment. But like I said, maybe I'm wrong.
What were these things going for a year or two ago?

hello? mcfly? are people really asking whether the mass produced even beyond the normal level of transformers toys Movie Figures will be worth anything in future?
Oh well, I suppose it is possible. But c'mon? Especially if they're loose, and if you're not buying them to at least open and transform the once, I don't see the point in buying them at all.

assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

If you are buying purely for resale value in upcoming years then go Arcee. Being a figure from the movie line is going to make her more known to more potential collectors.
IMO Downshift is the superior figure, and worth a purchase for a collection, but Arcee will probably be more desired in the future.

Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.
