Differences between Ruination and Bruticus?

Postby doomboy536 » Tue Nov 27, 2007 5:44 am

I'm thinking of getting an RID Ruination, because the wacky paint job is KRAAAHZY :P Are there differences between RID Ruination and G1 Bruticus besides the obvious colouring?

I dont think that there's anything major thats different.

There are two different color scheme's for Ruination on the other had.The original from the Car Robots 2000 toon which was only released from Takara [and the bootlegs] and the Darker color scheme from the RID toon release from Hasbro.

Which one you planing on getting?

Going to get the darker one - the idea of a blue Armorhide is too funny to pass up :P

Actually, there is something major: the guns have been remolded, so that they can now combine into two larger guns. G1 Bruticus, like any other G1 gestalt, used the gun of the leader only, while Ruination used all of the guns combined.

Only the Takara one is show-accurate, you know? ;) There's some novelty in the :RENEGADE: that the Japanese versions of Ruination and Scourge have...
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

Thats no remold. You could do that with the original Bruticus's smaller gun as well.As a matter of fact I used to display my G1 Burticus with some of thw smaller gunns attached to the bigger one back in the day.

Here look at the different teem members of Bruticus links and look at their guns
http://www.tfu.info/1986/Decepticon/Bru ... uticus.htm

Now look at the members of Ruination's guns
http://www.tfu.info/2001/Decepticon/Rui ... nation.htm

You'll see that the guns havent been remolded.

Never said otherwise. All I said was that the darker colored one came out with the RID show...not that it matched the shows color scheme

:P

There are like 5 different repaints of Ruination also. So you have lots to choose from:

Yeah of Bruticus
But to be more accurate:

Bruticus got 3 paint schemes. G1 Bruticus, G1 Battle Gaia ,G2 Bruticus.

However due to a few mold changes for Ruination it is not exactly a Bruticus Repaint:

G1/G2 and R.I.D. Differences

With that in mind:
Ruination got 4 schemes R.I.D Ruination., Baldigus, Walmart Urban Camo Ruination. Universe Desert Camo Ruination.

But in all fairness the general consensus, is that the mold has indeed gotten not 5 like I said previously but 7 different incarnations.

Talk about your overused mold.

I just got the Universe version with the desert camo paint job. I'm quite happy with them, I like the uniform color scheme, and I only paid 9.99.
