Also love how you have Prime and Megatron book ends and the top lieutenants flanking then up top (Ironhide, Ratchet, Shockwave etc)
What version Sandstorm is that? I’m having trouble finding a great Sandstorm piece. Is Generations the best version to date?
Dinobots?

If dinners you mean Dinobots, then they are the Fansproject versions. All my combiners are the Japanese Takara box sets. The current Sandstorm I have is the Generations version from the Thrilling 30 subline. The bookshelf I’m using are the Billy bookcase system from IKEA. Don’t hesitate to ask me anything, feel free to ask whatever’s on your mind

Awesome info!
Thanks for the quick feedback.
Your set up and collection is exactly what I have in mind.
Didn’t know about those dinobots versions.
And you think the the Japanese Takara versions are the best versions to go for on all the combiner sets?

The Takara vs the Hasbro combiners are subjective. They are basically the same figures but differ on color (toy vs cartoon) I prefer the cartoon colors for my combiners, but prefer the toy/comic colors for my dinos. The reason I chose these dinos was because I like the size and aesthetic from Fansproject. There are other ones that are more G1 looking, but the engineering was not to my liking due to incorporating a combiner gimmick that were overly engineered. I have since switched out my Prime, Megs, Soundwave, Shockwave and a whole lot of others for their Siege versions. I also switched out my 3rd party Devastator for a downsized Combiner Wars one. These photos were from around 2018-2019

A little warning here, anything not made by either Hasbro or TakaraTomy, or their licensees, is considered "Third Party", with dubious legal status at best.

For some, yes. Most differences are merely in colors and decos, but Hasbro and TakaraTomy each took a different approach to Computron, with TakaraTomy the winner in accuracy. TakaraTomy's Devastator features minor changes to make the Constructicons more posable and gave them new guns to boot. Also, Hasbro and TakaraTomy each have their own exclusive Combiner characters:
Hasbro
Alpha Bravo
Offroad
Rook
Jet Blast Off
Smokescreen
G2 Superion
G2 Bruticus
G2 Menasor
Victorion
Liokaiser
TakaraTomy
Ratchet (in the Lynxmaster aka Sky Reign set)
Grand Galvatron
Megatronia (Victorion redeco)
Baldigus (aka Robots in Disguise 2001 Ruination, redeco of Bruticus with new guns)
Not counting the now-defunct Collector's Club offerings of course

Plus, like I said on the previous page, we have a whole section to discuss that 3P stuff.

This is correct, I’ve forgotten there was a difference in Computron’s molding between Hasbro and Takara. I believe this and Devastator were the only exceptions
