Do you like the movie line more than Armada/Energon/Cybertron?

It depends on the figure. Some of the Cybertron TFs I really like- esp Prime combined with Wing Saber, then there is also Leo Breaker that can be added on to prime. I didnt really like any version of Megs in these series even though I own them. Armada Unicron is great as well as Cybertron Starscream in my opinion. I do have all the waves of the classics-those are eye candy.

I have to say, in terms of detailed molds, I like the Movie line. In terms of durability, and style, I like Cybertron. But because I like the "Robots in Disguise" thing meaning that these fellah's turn into REAL LIFE EXISTING vehicles we see around us today (like in the G1 line, mostly), I have to say I like the Movie line more in that department.

now that's a tricky question to answer.
if i wanted playability and durability combined, i'd go for the Unicron series. the plastic alone makes them more fun to play with, and you can transform them back and forth many times without worrying that you might break a door here or pop a joint there (though i did have my fair share of popped joints LOL). plus, like others have said, no automorph to interfere with poseability.
but i have a massive spot for the movie line...it's almost like a return to G1 roots with realistic alt modes and better articulation. don't ya guys ever wish they could have done away with the automorph?

That's the difference between selling this toy in toy stores or sending us to the regular dark corners of society to pick up our TF's.
methinks it's a necessary evil..

QFTT. Nothing beats Cybertron. Not even G1 or Beast Wars. (Toy department that is, show... not so much, I love it, but needs less Bud-dude)Counterpunch wrote:Certainly not.
I'd take any of the three over the movie line.
Better plastics, better design, classic designs...
not that the movie line is bad...but Cybertron alone crushes the movie toys in every regard.

I like the movie line over all three lines. I like the realistic alt modes and color schemes. Most of those three lines I've seen have either turned me off due to the unrealistic alt modes or ridiculous color schemes. I could do without the planet keys, but I'm in love with the energon weapons. They should do many more energon repaints for the movie line.

SDCC really cemented all of this for me.
The upcoming movie toys are all interesting, that much is for sure, but Leader Brawl aside, none of them means anything to me.
If they’re reworks of previous characters, I already have better versions in some other line. The movie toys are alright, but as someone who owns much of everything else, they aren't all that special.
The new characters, well, they don’t and won’t mean anything to me. Here’s why: They were not in the movie and they in all likelihood will not be in any sequel movies. I suppose I just wonder why I should bother with them? Especially since I already have a complete movie cast.
