Does anybody know anything about this transformer?

Postby Transform_MSSM » Mon Aug 13, 2007 2:02 pm

Hey

Just wondering if anyone knows any name of something of this Transformer. I found it at my moms place and all I can find in the bottom of the two pieces is 1988. Copyrighted to both Hasbro and Takara. If anyone have any clue about it, please tell me.

Here's some pictures of it!

Congratulations!

You are the owner of the very covetted Powermaster Overlord.

He's a fairly rare item.

Weapon: Turret Gun
awesome it has both powermasters too.

This figure never appeared in the american fiction but was the principle villain(well villains, both mega and giga, his powermasters were the actual characters and overlord was anon living transector controlled by them) and main rival of ginrai (known in the west as powermaster optimus prime) in the japnaese masterforce series

This kind of masterpiece has been mine since it was new. I got it when i was around 6-7 years old, and have been well stored by my dear mum. Interesting to hear things about it. Do you guys know anything more about it? Is it a worldwide product, exclusive toy? How much will the piece be worth toady?

I paid £80 for mine in slightly more worn condition and without the main hand gun and transparent cover part but with a few more accessories. Personally I considered that a bit of a bargain and have been on the look out for the gun ever since. It was first released in Japan in 1988 and was available in the UK as a Woolworths exclusive in 1991. The toy has never seen a US release and has never been recoloured (aside from this version missing out on the chrome). Congratulations on accidentally acquiring a nice sought after item. Now you just need a Black Zarak to go with him :P
