Does DotM Voyager Prime fit inside Ultimate's armor?

I want Ultimate Optimus Prime to represent a movieverse Ultra Magnus, but his inner robot is too similar to the normal Optimus (RotF leader). While this is G1-accurate, I want a more diverse looking group and the DotM Voyager mold seems suitably different from the movie-accurate Prime figures. Could someone try to fit it inside the Ultimate armor, holding onto the cannon?

LOL, I started a thread somewhat like this some time ago. I wanted to know if Battle Blades would fit. I wish I had UOP to test it all out, but I don't know if I'm interested. FE's I wan't to get first

No. Voyager is smaller than Prime from the UOP set. You may be able to do with with some kitbashing, but just putting him in there won't work. Voyager is too small.

Rodimus is right. I had both of them. UOP's torso and crotch area are just waaay too long and his gorilla arms are designed to specifically work with the suit. His legs are also very wonky and meant to be straightened out so they can integrate with the suit. You can't achieve the desired result without extensive modification. Personally, I find it not worth the trouble unless you want a statue that doesn't transform--which, to me, defeats the purpose of having a Transformer in the first place.

Thanks for the replies
Too small doesn't sound as bad as too large, at least it'll fit inside the empty space. I know the Ultimate inner figure is designed to fit inside perfectly, but ignoring the crotch and back attachments, can the fists of Voyager Prime at least hold the armored fists by the pegs while floating inside? And does the head fit underneath the filp-down cannon helmet?
Pictures would be most welcome.

The fist holes are the same size. I don't have pictures, but for the purposes of the Mechtech stuff, all the figures' fist holes are the same sizes, I believe. Even the Leaders. I can't comment on the head, because my Voyager Prime had his ripped off, and I got him on clearance.

As Rodimus said, Voyager Prime is too tiny. The cannon is virtually HORIZONTAL when flipped down, so VP's head won't likely reach the HUD. Also, I believe his fists are too short to reach the pegs. Sorry that I can't provide any side-by-side comparisons, since I sold both my UOP and Voyager Prime recently. However, I can clearly recall their size differences, as well as provide my own separate photos of each figure. You're likely better off just repainting Voyager Prime since his giant fuel tanks in robot mode make him look more fitting as Magnus.

Prime's head is ripped off.
Yeah. I picked it up and immediately noticed it was headless. It was there for about a week, and no one did anything. Finally, I took it up to customer service (this was at Walmart) and asked if I could have it at a discount since it was messed up. I got it for $7, which is pretty good, considering the only reason I got it was to see if the Deluxe trailer fits with it in truck mode (which it does perfectly) and it doesn't even need the head for that. Also, I ripped off the aforementioned huge fuel tanks, as they're waaaay too big.

I had some pics of this attempted a while back. I could go back and find the thread later if you want.
HFTD Voyager Prime is too wide in the back compared to U-Prime. As stated some serious kitbashing would probably do it, but I only have one of each and not good at it. And once you did kitbash it...probably wouldn't look right without the armor if just displaying Prime without it. Now.... you could perhaps kitbash the crap out of the 07 movie prime and work something out?
I always thought some third party would have come up with a trailer for HFTD voyager as he is probably the best voyager out there.

While it wouldn't be able to transform, I'd like to see you find a car carrier trailer off a model toy semi and make it work with your Ultra Magnus custom in alt mode. I dunno if I've seen a custom movie UM with one yet, but if you can't make UOP's trailer work out, it may be a thought.

I've never tried it... but I doubt very much that it would work. Maybe, with some massive kit bashing that would frankly be beyond my skill to even think about you might get something. But just out of the box... I'd say no.
The armor is very form fitting and designed around the rather lanky frame of the core robot that it comes with. Parts are designed to exactly fit around other parts. Even if you managed to get the Voyager DOTM Prime to sit loosely inside the armor's crotch and abdomen (which I doubt could happen), it would likely look rather crap. Also, the Voyager has quite big feet that would never be able to fit inside of the armor's legs.
There's nothing that shows the Voyager trying to fit inside the Ultimate's armor, but I did a review of these two (plus the Cyberverse and Deluxe scales) that would have plenty of photos, if you are curious.
