Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

I have no problem whatsoever admitting that I'm a Transfan. I have a few TFs on display in my cube at work, and I even asked my boss once if I could take an extended lunch so I could run out and buy '08 BB and Arcee at the local Walmart. She said yes! And when I got back, I showed them to her. She actually thought they were pretty cool. I've also had some co-workers ask me if I collect TFs to which I respond, "Yes!" They all seem pretty cool with it.

Here's what I think: First, you've got to have people in your life who like you for who you are. If you're with someone who can't accept everything about you, then don't bother with them—life's too short to spend it trying to impress people. Just do what you love. I don't expect everyone to understand my taste. But as long as the core people in your life respect you, that's all that matters.
On a side note, I dated a girl in college who was a huge Star Wars fan. She wanted an Obi Wan lightsaber, but she said she would be too embarassed to go get one at WalMart. So, I got her one!

nope...
I just turned 28 this year (July 31st) and my godson and I have the same birthday so we had a Transformers birthday party @ Chuck E Cheese. Everyone showed up with Transformer shirts, all we got was Transformers for birthday presents and the best part was we had a Transformers cake with a Decepticon Logo...good times!

nope.
I find it is the people who mock you the most are the ones that are most impressed when they see your collection, and want to play with them.

Nah, I don't care. I dragged all of my friends to the movie the night it came out, they all thought it was fun and bought and wore transformer shirts for the occasion.
All my friends knew I was really into transformers before hand, I don't advertise it but if someone asks "Hey are you the guy that really likes transformers?" I'll gladly reply "Yeah, that's probably me."
I've slowed down on the toys though, they don't interest me as much. The last thing I bought was Classics Magnus and Skywarp...

i'm never ashamed
if i can say one single swear word...
it's like "B**ch, don't bother commenting me, just turn around and walk away, im not ashamed of collecting TF toys"
been two times people asked me about my age in a shop, when i was gonna buy me Movie Wreckage, and Voyager Starscream. told em right out to s** off and mind their own business lol
i don't see anything weird with collecting toys. If you like Transformers, and buy some toys, then in 20 years later (or something) look at the toys, and think: damn, TF rules. constant reminder of the ultimate kicka**ness Transformers is.

I Am a Geek! I get jazzed about things like the Forestry Supply Catalogue, the new releases in the SF section of the bookstore, and toys.
My apartment and workspace are full of Transformers, My Little Ponies, science fiction books, archaeology "toys", forensic anthro "models" and a whole host of other things that make people scratch their heads. What can I say, other than most of the folks who think I'm more than a little off are just jealous that they don't have the balls to have more than the little magnet sculptures on their desks. They wish they could get over themselves enough to have a little fun or a hobby that they truly enjoy. Though I do have to say, I need more shelf space. . . .
And I could care less what other people think of me.

My wife's learned to live with some of my geeky tendencies. It's just who I am. I only feel shame when I'm thinking about buying something versus putting more money in my Roth IRA or in my son's college fund. Call it guilty father syndrome.

There are a few things i am interested in that I try to keep on the down low like Wrestling, and Star Wars oh and porn
. Transformers isnt one of them though. Most people who know nothing about the Transformers story will still admit they are damn cool toys.
