G1 Megatron gun stock question??????

Postby MEGRIMLOCK629 » Mon Jun 27, 2011 7:57 pm

Yeah so I bought a weapons lot and when I got it I noticed something. The part of stock that connects to megatron, has a lever that operates a spring inside that fires a missle. Anyone know anything about this??????????????

Motto: "Collecting little transforming action figures is the right of all sentient Geeks."
Weapon: Indepentently Targetable Particle Beam Cannons
The Stock, and silencer bits combine to form a battle station which in the original Microman version had a spring loaded mechanism to fire pellets. It was removed in subsequent versions of the figure including the G1 toy.

Some of the special editions of the figure have reincorporated the mechanism.

The Third Party add-on set for MP Megatron features a similar mechanism.

Motto: ""Death is the only way out.""
Weapon: Sword of Fury
The toy that Megatron was made out of (The Microchange Gun Robo P38) featured two firing gimmicks, one inside the gun itself and one in the stock for when you converted the stock to it's gun battery mode. For Hasbro's release of it, the gimmick had been removed, but I do believe that in all Japanese releases the gimmick was intact. It was never a particularly strong launcher, as I can only get my TF Collection Megatron to shoot his little pellets a foot or two before they drop to the ground, but still a cool gimmick to have.
