I thought this was all guesswork and paranoia?!?

Now don't get me wrong, I am very impatient, but damn, you people are down right jumpy.

Everyone freaked out the same way about Titanium G1 Ultra Magnus and the Fallen, and I sure as hell found them in stores.

Not trying to insult anyone's hard work or time taken, but just sit tight and wait for the real answer.

Like I said previously, I'm prepared to get burned on this. I've made bigger lapses in judegment before and I can most certainly afford this one too. Preordering SS is cheaper than my divorce.

As for the mention of G1 Titanium UM, I would have liked him but, despite being in Walmarts and Targets ALL over the Atlanta area, I never saw one. I also never saw Alternators Ravage or Rumble when they were released. However, I genuinely hope for everyone's sake that I'm wrong here and that there are lots of Starscreams to go around.

This is STARSCREAM! I love him!

Heh. Now that I got THAT out of my system. AlienQuiksilver, you speak a harsh harsh truth. It's just so hard to wait when it's something you really really want.

zatara1701, you also make sense. It would make a lot more sense for Hasbro to want to sell as many SS as possible. I think what is throwing so many people into a panic is how difficult information is find on MP SS. He's not in store inventories. He isn't in any paperwork stating when the other Transformers will be released. There is almost NO information. I know that's freaking me out.

like i said, you may not get an answer if they want to keep this quiet (like the SW toys) & be a BF item. Either way, I'm excited b/c I never got a G1 SS when i was a kid and always wanted one. Now, i'm getting the definitive version!! Kickass!!!!

Here's a thought...

It's OCTOBER 22, 2007 today....that leaves a little more than a month till Thanksgiving. That's 30 days where SS could show up (based on a November release according to Botcon I think).

You guys should just settle down, be patient, and chill the F out!! And you guys feeding this paranoia should be ashamed of yourselves!!!

Black Friday is one of MANY scenarios for SS...in my opinion it's the least likely... but there are TOO MANY scenarios that dont involve BF to grab onto this ONE possibilty and discount all others.

Chill out, be zen and SS will be yours. I'll make sure I post a happy, non stressed, worry free pic of me and SS when we are together after coming home from the store in a week or two  the rest of ya'll can have a heartattack as you see it still worrying about Black Friday.

I truely doubt this is a Black Friday exclusive...retailer like Walmart use $20 DVD players, $200 computers, and MAYBE $5 DVD's to get people in NOT a $60 Transformers MP figure.

We've just been waiting SOOOOoooo long for this and with the experience with the rest of hte line this summer, ya'll expect the WORST...which I can't blame you. Anyways, the logistics of all this should make you look on the brightside.

1) Being in retail I have dealt with reps and managers...as much as we'd like to think they know SOMETHING, they in fact 99% of the time know Jack ****. I work in retail, so I am speaking from experience...especially since some of the infered details are from a Walmart manager, sheesh, they know less than their employees that walk away from you.

2) Hasbro has to license this mold from Tomy/Takara. That costs WAY TOO MUCH $$$ to limit how many Starscreams they'll produce...case and example, 20th Anniversary Prime. Hasbro paid a pretty penny for the mold and materials and that's why you see shelves full of them now (although you didnt see them a whole lot when they hit)

Bottomline....QUIT BEING SO NEGATIVE!!!

Yes, some one could infer that it was a Black Friday item, but at the same time simply look at the two facts I put down you can infer the opposite. From a business stand point, what I am saying makes way more sense, and business is all of what Walmart and Hasbro are about.

Do what you feel you need to do to get one, but I am not going to break my neck untill SS breaks in the stores. I think there will be plenty (maybe limited at first like Prime) but patience will win out. There will be PLENTY to go around...just be patient and dilegent in your hunt.

Do you think anyone could sneak an ENTIRE CASE out the door without someone noticing??? This isnt a Voyager we're talking about, it's a MP.

Once again...logic prevails...thanks Mr. Spock :P

I'm not being negative, nor paranoid. I posted info I was given, that could end up being the correct info. I never made any claims to this being golden truth that he'd be a Black Friday Blitz item. I said this gives credence to the possibility he could be a BFB item.

I will be at Wal-Mart to buy mine, I will not pay trumped up, exaggerated prices for something not worth $60.00 to me.

It has nothing to do with patience, it has everything to do with a lack of information. Even you can't give a good reason as to why the computers don't have him on record. (and yes, I've had it verified at least four times) We know he'll be there, but it's a matter of when, especially around BFB time.

Didn't you ever see the Chi Chi's commercial with the guy pumping free salsa through his sleeve and into his chambered coat??? Never underestimate him!!!

If I were to try and pull off something like this, that is the guy I would hire.

Seriously though ... why preorder? He is going to be EVERYWHERE!!! It's called ... patience, not pay-shunce. Who the hell is shunce anyway? He must be the guy with all the G1 MP-SS's. :-?

I'm all for patience. I'm also one of those people who likes to be kept informed when something major is hitting the shelves, newswire, etc. After all the money we've invested in our collections, lined their pockets, the least they could do is say "Hey, here you go guys. This will be coming out during the week of (insert here) but that's an estimate and could be one to two weeks off." That would be appreciated and would go a looong way. At least Takara gives a release date. You know what to expect with them.

But it is an insult. However, you're not the only one to blame for that. There's no paranoia involved (at least not on my part) I was just reporting what I was told because I thought it would assist my fellow collectors. I won't be stopping that anytime soon, either. So if my posting this bothers you, then you're just going to have to deal.

This year more of the same, the new battle packs at Target for BF (which haven't been confirmed -no one's talking) are the Battle of Hoth and Battle of Endor, both of these come with a boatload of figures and vehicles and they're both $50. It's hasbro, so I can easily see them doing this with the MP SS at walmart. I don't know about #s, how limited, but I'm definitely goin pretty early to walmart to make sure i get one. I live in scalper central LA - these guys have deep pockets & I wouldn't put it past them to screw everybody & buy em all.

Thank you for pointing out those examples. This is why I said it was possible he could be a BFB item. I don't think people read the "NOT CONFIRMED" portion of my posts. But that's because they have blinders on and only see what they want.

That's exactly my point. BFB is a potential scenario for Starscream, not the definitive. Problem is, you're not willing to see that. You're willing to come in here and criticize rather than assist. I think part of it's because it got *your* paranoia kicked in.

And no one's going to have a heart attack over a toy. Don't say such stupid things. Too many people die from a heart attack over legitimate reasons everyday.

That's my problem. No information. I was simply posting info I had found in the hopes of helping others. Yet I (and the rest of us) are picked on for it.

This is why I say the fandoms are selfish. A big "screw you, haha" attitude.

Hey, you make the money, you're more than welcome to spend it on what you want, how you want. You owe no one any explanation about how you've spent your money. Tell 'em to go shove it.

I know you are kinda responding to my point that BF isnt about $60 action figures...You are overlooking one big point though. It's not the price so much as it is the production logistics.

Star Wars is made by Hasbro FOR Hasbro. Hasbro has to buy rights for Tomy/Takara molds like MP Starscream. It would be financially irresponsible to buy a mold then use it in a LIMITED capacity....especially at the discounted price point vs the Takara SS AND it's only going to Walmart. Hasbro will want to make the most $$$ they can out of this deal.

As for those SW exclusives...here in Houston I still saw them in January after they were released to the stores.

Everybody needs to quit freaking out. Come spring the shelves will be rampant with MP SS an Ultimate Bumblebees...if I get them on clearence all the better.

I'll pay $60.00, but that's it. (well taxes of course) Beyond that, he's just not worth that much to me, especially as fragile as he and Megatron can be.

Masterpiece Convoy/20th. Optimus was a joint venture between Hasbro and Takara. Not to mention, the A/E/C trilogy was a partnership as well. They both design the toys together. Hasbro licenses the overall TF "thing" not always a specific figure.

I realize you never said what you said is fact beyond reason...BUT people are taking it as so.

In place of getting info, is it responsible to conjecture and fill that void with could be/would be facts???? I realize there is a lack of info on SS (hell, I started a thred myself some weeks back) but that doesnt mean we get everyone stirred up with half-cocked theories. :-?

Working in retail I know looking up things in the system is never definitive, nor is talking to an associate (case and point TRU...you'd think theyd know SOMETHING, but I can run circles around 99% of them about ANY toy not just TF  ).

Sometimes I think we TF fans out here live for the drama and controversy... Now that the shelves are filled to the brim with TF Voyagers and Deluxe class figures, we have to find something else to drone on about.

Starscream will be upon us before we know it. My gut tells me that there will be plenty to go around ( I trust my gut feelings...thats why I've a a Deluxe BB from the 1st week he hit the stores.) Thanks for all your info and insight Autobot032, you just might want to be a little bit more responsible with it, especially with a group that ventures on the side of extreme paranoia to begin with :P

if hasbro wants to make as much $ as possible off the mold, then we should be seein a lot of these. Esp. if you consider that Walmart is probably #1 or 2 in toy sales. We are in panic mode -this happens with SW toys too, distribution has been terrible with them lately

That's not my fault. I left the disclaimer stating that it wasn't confirmed 100%. Last I checked, people are allowed to interject their own theories about something.

zatara1701 wrote:In place of getting info, is it responsible to conjecture and fill that void with could be/would be facts???? I realize there is a lack of info on SS (hell, I started a thred myself some weeks back) but that doesnt mean we get everyone stirred up with half-cocked theories. :-?

Responsibility works both ways. Such as you throwing around your opinion about other people and their posts. I didn't post any half cocked theories. I posted the info I had and theorized period. Nothing was half cocked. Again, throwing your opinion about people around. Watch it.

They're paid to do their job and just get through the day. No one in any of the stores will be 100% knowledgeable about what they sell all over the store.

zatara1701 wrote:Sometimes I think we TF fans out here live for the drama and controversy... Now that the shelves are filled to the brim with TF Voyagers and Deluxe class figures, we have to find something else to drone on about.

I hate the word drama, when used in this context. It's pathetic and valley girlish. What was it called before people started using the term drama? Seriously, I can't remember because the world's become that pathetic. I don't live for drama and controversy. I'm not droning. In fact, the person I see the most droning from, is you. But you're also crossing the border of offensive as well. Again, watch it.

zatara1701 wrote:Starscream will be upon us before we know it. I'm glad Starscream will be here soon. I surely hope he comes out in droves (so everyone can get one, and if there's a problem with the figure we buy, we can get it replaced). Again, responsibility goes both ways, you need to be responsible with your mouth and your opinion. You're talking about other people when you open your yap in this thread and you're being overly offensive. Your post is an insult to injury. You slap me in the face with your comments, and then smile about it. Ridiculous.

And quit calling everyone paranoid! I think more of this is stemming from the fact that you're telling us what kind of person *you* are, and it's easier to project it on others.

You're turning this into a battle when it was a discussion and information thread. Either contribute or just shut up. All you're offering is attacks.

Yeah...that was pretty stupid of them to mold those pieces in but never use them.

I'm surprised Justitoys hasn't pulled that one yet. I mean giving Masterpiece Megatron metal legs is pretty wow inducing, so it wouldn't be that hard for them to make a purple cloth cape with plastic connectors. Heck, all they'd have to do is add tabs to the Supreme Cybertron King Starscream's crown, then use a pantograph (I think that's what it's called) to make a smaller crown that would fit on his head.

But, you never know...Takara's known for milking the crap out of the molds...so we might see yet another Starscream, but with all of his accessories this time around. They did it with Convoy...

Last year Target had the Imperial shuttle released on BF for $60. The last time this ship was released -it was an FAO schwarz excl. for $100-120 bucks.

Come spring the shelves will be rampant with MP SS an Ultimate Bumblebees...if I get them on clearence all the better.

if hasbro wants to make as much $ as possible off the mold, then we should be seein a lot of these. Esp. if you consider that Walmart is probably #1 or 2 in toy sales. We are in panic mode -this happens with SW toys too, distribution has been terrible with them lately

I have to believe that we're not going to see nearly as many MP SSs as we did Primes. Walmart across the US appears to be taking a bath on the 20th DVD Primes all over the place. (The Cybertron Primus figures too). I can't imagine them wanting to stock lots of yet another high dollar Tfromers that might not move.

While it's not inconceivable that there will be tons of SSs too, I think that the POSSIBLE (theory, opinion, etc) Black Friday release date for SS might lead to lower numbers. And the reality is that scalpers know this is going to be a hot item for fans and are going to be all over it, whenever it comes out. Hell, despite the numbers of deluxes shipped, some people are still beating their heads against the wall trying to find a 2008 Concept Bumblebee.

That's just nothing more that my 2 cents. I hope that there's more than enough to go around.

just goes to show ya, there are good reasons for preordering stuff.

To those in the particular forum...

I am sorry if some of you thought I was "attacking," them or their info directly. I was simply stating the facts. Despite some "disclaimers" I was merely pointing out that some people were making more of this issue when we DON'T EVEN KNOW if it is an issue.

Everything I say is in fun and in reflection. As far as me trying to "make people be like me?" and impose my beliefs... I was simply trying to give people and alternative to the doom and gloom being projected out here.

The ironic thing is this...a certain poster on here pvt messaged me one time and applauded me for using my open, opinionated, and logical thoughts/words against the "powers that be" of this web site, but now that I've turned it on said poster, they get their feathers ruffled. In the end, my opinions and theories are just that MY THEORIES AND OPINIONS and I have never stated it otherwise. I'm not the one sitting here posting opinions and theories as introvertable facts (with a small/brief disclaimer ages ago).

Sorry for any drama or controversy I have caused. As I said before, I simply tried to bring an alternate theory to everyone here...a Ray of Hope/Light for some... sorry if this contradicts the dark cloud everyone else wants to spread.

With that I will leave you to the doom and gloom and take my hopeful opinions and theories elsewhere...I will return to this forum to post a pic of my SS before Black Friday

I don't think anyone is truly "freaking out" about MP SS. We are just thinking of scenarios based on current info that is out there. If TF fans can't speculate about releases then what good is this thread. Now, if the "fervor" bothers you so much that you have to post and tell people to chill out then don't read the thread. Autobot032 has taken the initiative to get info and share it with us, which is far better than some of the people that are "purely" speculating. Heck, its no secret that I dont get along with Autobot032, but I know he would never lie about info like this, and I respect him for giving Hasbro and other retailers hell. If I had the hottest toys, I would have a BF release for some of them... the hype alone is worth it. Some companies even push items back till January to make 1st quarter profits look good. Almost every company has a good 4th quarter since spending is usually at its highest.

As you said, we haven't gotten along with one another in the past, so I sincerely thank you for backing me on this. That's majorly cool of you. Thank you.

I never meant to be a prick to you, for that I am sorry. I owe you one.

No need for apologies. Everyone is different- people that are really opinionated always butt heads. I can be a real stubborn ahole. You know the forum rule... nobody owes anyone. Thanks though... I apologize for being an ahole. Alot of people don't get along, but that doesnt mean we don't think the other doesnt put the time into their hobby.

So enough of that... leave it for PM so this thread stays on topic. As you said in previous posts... WM distribution centers may have USA MP SS already, and anyone who has been around distributors knows that product can sit in warehouses for months before its sent out for retail. There are even distributors for distributors, which is one of the reasons you see such extremely long back order times. You should see how long perishable food sits before it makes it to your dinner table (especially meat and produce). I think we as fans forget that Hasbro is a business... even spectacular G1 was about making a cartoon to sell toys and killing off characters to introduce new lines.

If one more person talks about how many 20th Primes their Wal-Mart has, I'm gonna barf. Seriously, I have never seen one in real life, and certainly not in a Wal-Mart. Meanwhile, I've been waiting for my backordered, full-price 20th Prime from BBTS since it was arriving in August (WHERE IS IT?!), and everyone's talking about getting them for 20-50 bucks.

If my Wal-Mart is as flaky as it is normally with MP SS, I'm never going to get one. Ever. And that pisses me off, because MP SS is a figure I really f*cking want.

my walmart has at least 30 20th Primes collecting dust. Just kidding. You might be able to order the SS from walmart's website once it comes out. I leveled up to 'fuzor' -cool!

Dude, my Wal-Mart does, too. They're stacked horizontally on top of each other, three high and several columns of him. Then a few more at the bottom. I can't wait for MP Starscream to ship mostly because he's the only thing coming between now and Classics 2.0 or Animated (whichever comes first) that I'm even remotely interested in (and I'm actually quite interested in; MP DVD Prime is lonely), though I'll probably pick up the concept Cliffjumper repaint and Landmine when they are available.

Dude, order it from Hasbro.com ( I think Walmart.com has it in stock too)... You shouldve picked it up with the 25% off coupon they had a couple weeks ago. Despite that, it's only $69, so thats the same as it's retail.

Walmarts here in Houston, Tx are swamped with them, but they boosted them back to $70 ( I got two for $25 each a couple months back at the same Walmart)

Hasbro usually ships pretty quick and I havent seen it out of stock even once.
