Our favorite tape deck Decep (Soundwave) taking on our favorite TF movie helicopter (Blackout) without any help from their "little friends"... no tapes, no Scorponok...
Who wins?
I have to go with Blackout even though Soundwave is one of the greatest Deceps of all time.

I think the battle will be the ones, who can fire first. Soundwave's weapon will destroy Blackout if he hits him, and Blackouts weapons are also lethal to Soundwave. So, I call a draw on this battle.

this is a really tough fight. i think alot of people are too loyal to soundwave to call it objectively, but i dont know if i can come up with an answer. soundwave is probbly more durable, but blackouts weapons should be able to deal critical damage. soundwave may or may not be stronger, and hes probably at a disadvantage in close combat, with blackout having some pretty mean melee weapons. hes also stuck without a workable alt mode. a cassette player vs a highly advanced military helicopter with firepower to cave in a mountain doesnt seem like a very fair fight.
so speed and aerial maneuverability go to blackout, blackout likely has superior firepower, but soundwaves extra durability evens it out pretty well. soundwave is probably a better hand to hand fighter, but blackout has some pretty effective blades. to make up for it. blackout would probably be more evasive in robot mode, meaning he isnt as likely to take damage at a distance. overall it seems like blackout has a pretty sizable advantage over soundwave, but........ i too am biased, and cant really call this fight against soundwave.
hes durable, and blackouts blades might not do too much damage, depending on what their made of (obviously not the standard rotor material for them to hack into steel and not shatter), and soundwave was very good at hand to hand fighting, taking on multiple autobots at once in more than meets the eye. the odds are probably against him, but soundwave could win. blackout however would take it more often than not. 6 or 7/10

Soundwave has greater intelligence, strength, and skill. Blackout has greater firepower, speed, and endurance (by one). I love Soundwave, but it could go either way.

This is wel thought out UU. I think the selling point for Blackout is why he has that name. He has a emp weapon. Soundwave is the most specifically succeptible of the G1 decepticons to this type of weapon. This alone puts the bayformer above my beluv'd soundwaveunique_username wrote:this is a really tough fight. i think alot of people are too loyal to soundwave to call it objectively, but i dont know if i can come up with an answer. soundwave is probbly more durable, but blackouts weapons should be able to deal critical damage. soundwave may or may not be stronger, and hes probably at a disadvantage in close combat, with blackout having some pretty mean melee weapons. hes also stuck without a workable alt mode. a cassette player vs a highly advanced military helicopter with firepower to cave in a mountain doesnt seem like a very fair fight.

I think Blackout would beat Sounders.

Soundwave learns from the humans. He hides just under the ground surface. When Blackout walks over him, he shoots Blackout in the groin. Soundwave wins.
