Burn's idea would have been better and A LOT more interesting than another jet.

I am whelmed.
The price tag is a major turn off for me.
But it seems their are a lot of people it works for, so it shouldn't wind up being Maverick which looks mostly unloved by the majority of people.

This may be more in line to draw the casual fan whose only brush with X Men is the 1992 cartoon. While this is the first leader class collaboration, Titan Class would be seen as highly risky and not worth it. Especially if they have to pay a license fee to the mouse on top.

And they would. The Mouse is all about the cash in the best of times, and right now they are most certainly not experiencing the best of times in terms of cash flow.
Hence the rather high MSRP for this leader class figure. Shudder to think what a Titan class might cost.

That's definitely what it is, but nobody told Hasbro. They're saying to wrap it around Wolverine which doesn't make any real sense. Not sure if it can actually go on his head anyway, it looks too small. It barely fits around Wolverine let alone those big goggles. Would have rather had an optic blast or two sets of Wolverine blades than the Psylocke stuff.

I want this, but I'm not paying Target's jacked up prices (like the overpriced updated Ectotron). Guess I'm waiting for the next round of pre-orders to hit in March to see if the price is lower.

How is the price jacked up if hasbro is selling it for the exact same price

Pretty sure Hasbro pays one fee for the license to make toys, not per figure, otherwise Marvel figures would be $25 or 6" G.I. Joe or RED Transformers would be $15 since they don't have licenses attached. I wouldn't call that price set in stone, it could just be the Target price since they're charging an extra $20 for Ectotron ($10 more than Hasbro advertised Target's price at) just for an added comic and an second ghost that already comes with the regular GB figures. The first Ectotron saw a pretty crazy range of prices depending on where you got him from. I'm waiting for the March orders to see if the price changes at all.

OK, this figure just looks FUN. Just enjoyable. Little bits and pieces from so many X-men in there between Wolverine, Cyclops, Psylocke...
Going to enjoy this figure even with the kinda dumb name...

Lame name aside, looks dope as hell. Got my preorder in over at Target (surprisingly) so I’m squared away on him. Hope this opens the door for an Avengers Quinjet Transformer!

That's because it's a remold of SS Jetfire.
I will give you the fuselage up the first "neck" section, but the rest like the nacelles are all new. Typical
I never said it didn't have a lot of new parts.
It's still a retool/remold or whatever the word is that people use.
Edit: Which reminds me here is a comparison between the two for those who want to compare side by side.

*squints* I think this is just a shared skeleton, this goes beyond what the former definition of a retool would be. More like they said "keep the alt mode and transformation, ditch everything else"

For people balking at the price, the preorder is eligible for Target's current 25% off one toy or kid's book coupon, which you can access through either their app or their website. Came out to $52.40 after tax and shipping, which is cheaper than leader+tax+shipping would have been.

I'd like to see Burn lead a crack paramilitary team of super-powered societal cast outs while being hunted by the same people they protect. Also, I have yet to see any of the Back to the Future films.

That looks...actually better than I expected? This is the only crossover figure so far I think I've really actually liked, the closest it's gotten so far was Gigawatt reminding me of Maccadam. I do like that it at least seems to still be following the route of the other recent crossovers lore-wise in that he appears to be a "new Cybertronian with themed design/gear" rather than the old "this pre-existing character from the other franchise but now they're a transforming robot of themself" from the past Marvel crossovers. I also really appreciate the Psylocke nods here, they could have easily just done only Scott's visor and Logan's claws, or had a reference to a more popular mutant character like designing the head after Magneto's helmet or something similar, but they went with a lesser-known character reference instead and I respect that. The full name isn't great, but I think just the X-Spanse part by itself is fine (although maybe just spell it like the actual word). Not a fan of the price though, but since I can't really buy TFs at this exact moment anyway I can wait and just hope the price will lower later.
There had better be a crossover comic though, if Marvel is willing to make a FORTNITE crossover canon then this should be too, and I'm curious to see through that theoretical comic if this character is just gonna be replicating X-Men powers via tech or if that's his own "mutant" ability in a similar vein to Animated Elita/Blackarachnia (or Rogue or Mimic on the Marvel/mutant side of things).
And hopefully the fact that the first modern TF/Marvel crossover is specifically X-Men themed is further proof that X-Men characters can actually be in stuff again! I might be an X-Men fan, is it obvious?
