I'll be completely SHOCKED if they're released...
I say no way no day.

Bottom line imo is Hasbro should've known that at some point, more Classics could and would be released.
Heck, make the classics THE "filler line".
Produce it specifically so it has a limited number of figures in a very limited number of waves, and decrease the chances of peg warmers.

But don't put characters that are original to G1 out in extremely exclusive sets.
If they made THE Classics Trail Blazer from a slightly re-tooled Stockade, making that a Botcon exclusive would be stupid.
Exclusives like this year's figures are PERFECT imo to fill that cause.
Take any old mold you want, change the colors, create an alternate story for its being, etc.
THAT's imo what those exclusives should be.

"Classics Trail Blazer".....why would they make a Classics Trail Blazer when there never was a G1 character called "Trail Blazer". :?: 8-}

Oh, and Nekoman, I do kinda agree with you that selling the 3 Seekers separately could be a reach, and potentially the last would flop...
But again, a real solution could've been a 2-pack.
And since it's "Universe", Hasbro would've had even more options--
Throw Dirge in a two-pack with an old (but good) repainted Cybertron mold figure!!!!

Sorry brohams, the seekers won't make it in Henkei. Not that it wouldn't be awsome. By that theory, Dreadwind should be released in Henkei as well. Which would benifit me greatly as I f'n broke mine the other day... still a little bitter.

I own a set of BotCon seekers and would I care if they where resealed in Japan? No. Heck, I might even buy them again if they where better. What makes those toys special to me was the awesome time I had at the event. Seeing the movie with a bunch of fans was an unbelievable experience that I never will forget. The fact of the matter is, I don't think it's going to happen. The figures announced recently are already starting to dip into 2.0, making any more 1.0 releases seem unlikely. Also, if I remember my facts straight, isn't it impossible for them to make any more thrusts? I thought they made the remolds for BotCon out of a softer material because it was cheaper and they wouldn't have to make as many anyway. By the end of production I bet those molds are pretty trashed. They'd have to make another one, which I doubt they will.

I also want to point out how poorly the Skywarp and UM 2 pack sold. Even though they where value priced, cheaper than the sum of their parts, it didn't sell The only ones who cared about the pack where collectors. That set clogged the clearance isle for months at my Target. I bet the license for the last seeker was soon after the sales figures for that two pack came out. If a high-quality repaint like that skywarp couldn't sell, there was no way a 3rd repaint would do anything but warm the shelves.

I can't find anything wrong with that post. I agree with every single thing you said. Especially the Botcon part.

They clearanced numerous cases of them in one Target here. The other only put them out when they went on clearance.

It was obnoxious.

And here I only saw 1 set out of 4 local Target stores...weird.

I would assume overall that the UM vs. Skywarp pack sales were indeed very average.
But it had to have been cheap for Hasbro to produce.

So for a new 2-pack, even if the Seeker was released with a fig. that had more colors (Magnus obviously had limited colors),
they could make that fig. another repainted deluxe and still charge $19.99.

*I understand this isn't going to happen... I'm just discussing the shoulda-coulda-woulda's.

And I know the mass public doesn't come remotely close to matching the interest in TF's that the forum has,
but let me ask you guys;
Wouldn't you buy a 2 pack of Sideswipe and Dirge for $19.99
(or something like Dirge with a repainted Excellion or Hot Shot as Tracks or Red Alert, if Hasbro decided to use a Cybertron mold)??

Unnecessary.

Do not troll over this issue. The discussion in the news related thread was enough.

Discussion of the current topic regarding the pending Henkei seekers should be done here:

Considering this is really a moot issue now, I suggest locking this baby up.

It was fun to read, and even funnier once the henkai seekers were announced :P

Kinda funny how close to the real release that photoshop jobby is.

CP-- that's my point. The discussion is there now, so this one needs alocking.

No reason to dredge up anything.
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).
