Hotwheels/Matchbox trays for Minicons?

Postby zemper » Wed Sep 26, 2007 1:18 am

i was wondering...if i started collecting minicons, would the majority of them fit into the acrylic display trays that collectors use for Hotwheels cars? has anyone done these before?

oh, and before anything else, please don't post here if all you're gonna do is rant about minicons and how much they suck. thanks! 8)

Minicons, MINICONS?!

I hate them!
But juging from the sise most of them have yea they should fit, there mostly the same size as Hotwheels, exept it's like Armada Skywarps minicon.

something acrylic, like this:

i'm interested if most of the car minicons can actually fit in here, any opinions or those who have already tried this method?

Looks sharp, but not quite what I'm looking for.

The Deminsions are 3-1/4"Wx1-3/4"Hx1-3/4"D

I'd recommend that you get a ruler and a piece of paper and draw out the size, fold the edges and tape them together. You would then have a single box to scale. You could put a minicon in or on it to see if it will work for you.

actually i was just thinking of starting a minicon collection, don't have any Armada figs with me yet, that's why i'm asking if there were collectors who have ever used this method of storing/displaying minicons and if they work in general. :P

but i think i have seen one collector here who uses this method, i can't exactly recall who... 8)
