I just got a G1 Macross version of Jetfire without instructions. Unfortunately this isn't a toy I had growing up and I can't figure out how to transform him and want to give up because I don't want to break it.
Can anyone give me some pointers or even scan in their instruction sheet for me?
Thank you very much for any help you can give me.

How do you transform G1 Jetfire?

I have a couple of them out in the garage, but I haven't touched them in forever. But I'm pretty sure that the instructions that shortround posted should be more than enough.
One thing to watch out for, is if you transform him enough his arm joint may become loose. I remember he was my favorite toy when I was a kid and I had to learn to open up his arm and tighten the screw that holds his arm to the spring gear assembly. It wasn't too hard, if a 9 year old can do it!

Thank you so much guys. The instructions worked and he is now in robot form.
LowVolticus - thanks for the heads up. The only problem I had was one of his arms kept falling off. The metal peg that holds the entire arm assembly seems to be manufactured a little too small and falls out when transforming him. No big deal I guess, the arms seem nice and tight otherwise.
Thanks again for the help!

Swing the legs out, flip out the arms, fold up the tail fins, slide down the forward pannel on the body of the jet, fold the jet in half, do up the hands and feet, and TA-DA!

^ They're not.
On topic, I guess you already figured him out, but G1 Jetfire's not too hard. I guess the trouble spots are being careful about the arms, and figuring out how to get the head through the top. Other than that, it's a pretty smooth transformation.
Also, when putting him back into jet mode, be careful of the tailfins, they look a little fragile to me.
