I bought my first Transformer in 12 years

Postby Cthulhunicron » Fri Jul 20, 2007 3:44 am

Being a child of the '80s, I had a few Transformers growing up. A couple years ago, I started to get back into the world of Autobots and Decepticons after not thinking about them for a decade. Recently, I dug out a box of toys and re-discovered all my old Transformers. Thanks to this website, I've finally been able to identify them as AM Grimlock, AM Starscream's Turbo Jet, Metroplex, Beast Wars Insecticon, Bristleback, Scowl, Freeway, and Cliffjumper.

Earlier today I found myself tracking down AM Starscream and a few missing parts for his jet on eBay, resulting in my making a Transformers purchase for the first time in 12 years. I feel like a kid again. lol

The movie toys were my first TF purchases in close to 20 years. Since then I've added the 20th Anny Prime to my small collection and now I'm focusing on getting some of the toys from my childhood, be it Classics or whatever.

Well I hope you don't end up going crazy with your collecting (unlike me :P ). Last August I was reading about the Classics line and thought that I would just get Starscream and Megatron. Well then I had 12 Transformers 11 months later I have 306 this is a highly addictive hobby.

Well I'm off to check out Toys R Us for the 4th time this week.

I agree! That's the whole reason I clicked on this thread in the first place!

I nominate Cthulhunicron for best new username of 2007! :P
