I cannot replace 20th Primes smoke stacks!

Help!

I have a pair of long stacks for my 20th prime but I cannot get his shoulders apart to fit them.

I take the screws out, one large and one small but the two halves are still stuck together and I dont want to force them for fear of snapping them.

Has anyone else had this and how did you overcome it?

Cheers.

I had a bit of trouble with mine also, but not like this. My main problem was getting those tiny screws out. Theres two big ones isnt there? And then one tiny stupid annoying one. Of course i didnt have the right tool to get it out with so unfortunateley i think i bent one of the small screws on mine, but oh well. Once it was undone though the shoulders came apart easy as anything so i dont know why you are having this trouble.

Make sure you got those little tiny screws out, they can be easily missed and if you forgot them then thats your problem.

Whered you get the long stacks from? Are they the die cast ones from ebay? I got the same ones i love em!

They came from Ebay, a guy in Canada. Plastic not metal.

Thanks for the advice. I had undone the small screw but still no joy. I might try running a fine blade between the two pieces of the shoulder and see if I can find a join.

Oh, shame, you shoulda got the metal ones. :P

I cant understand why yours wont come apart....have you tried rotating his arm and moving it up and down? Maybe the friction will loosen up the two pieces a bit? Otherwise yeah, go for the blade idea.

Be ready for a shock though, because once you are able to get the two parts apart, his whole arm falls to pieces. The bottom half detatches from the top section, and the shoulder part detatches from the shoulder ball joint (obviously) it looks horrible but its normal.

Shame uk postage is so expensive or id offer to install them for you if you are having so much trouble.

Thats good of you but this is something Im gonna do, otherwise its just a waste of stacks. Plus he needs them to match up with MP Magnus.

I didnt even know that there were metal stacks.

Yeah theres a dude who sells die cast replicas of the Takara versions, at least i think they are. In either case they are die cast and are well detailed, they have a nice hole in the top too.
