If Prime can travel through space, why can't he fly?
Protoform Prime's vehicle mode is essentially a comet mode for intergalactic travel. So technically he can fly, and not an unimpressive flight it is. Does this mean he is 'restricting' himself in some way with his earthen truck mode, and it's strange how he can't fly following that.

Well my physics isn't too good. But I believe that Prime can't fly on Earth because of the gravity from the planet. Since there is no gravity pulling Prime down on space, that's why he can fly.

Technically he can't fly. flying in air and going through space don't utilize the same propulsion to operate in those enviorments. meteors can't fly

you gotta wonder how they were planning on getting that allspark back to cybertron ...
Maybe BB would hold the allspark while prime kicked him in the junk really hard, sending the poor fella out of orbit.
Eh, I guess they could've just used the power of the allspark to become some kinda gestalt space ship or something. Yeah, that's my theory and I'm stickin' with it, ya see!

The prequel book has the two groups flying in ships across space. I ASSUME they took a atmospheric crash resistant form, and it launched them through space toward the planet. Maybe?
