Got a Jeep Wrangler? Then you could buy the conversion kit, which is around $9,000 from this website:

Too bad Jeep quit making Cherokees....I loved those things...I used to have a black 1996 Cherokee...all pimp-tinted windows...loved that beast! Had the big motor in it too! Too bad the previous owner dogged it to death before I bought it, so it's life-span was limited to 3 yrs with me..Had to sell it because of the impending doom it was about ready to suffer (bad engine, bad tranny, bad exhaust system....all in dire need of replacement..had the mechanic put some patches on it, say a few Hail Marys over it, and I traded it in for the CAR

Yeah, I know... but hey, the Jeep Commander looks like a Cherokee, so think of the Commander as a highly evolved version of the Cherokee.

I bought my Jeep Cherokee off of a neighbor girl for $5,000 or so. I had to fix it up a little, but it runs good. Well, it should... it's a 2000 model. It should last me until I'm through with college... unlike the Dodge Stratus I had driven beforehand. It met an untimely and undeserved fate... I got into a car accident back in February, and the insurance company totaled it. And it was a good car, too... it's not everyday you get to drive a purple car.

I must disagree. I believe the Commander looks more like a fancier H3...and it has more bawls than the H3 too

If you treat a Cherokee right-oil changes and tune-ups on a regular basis-it should run forever...the best troopers are the straight-six 4-liter engines..they are champs! Not sure when they started with the V-6 3.7-liter, but they are not nearly as reliable

That's exactly what I thought when I first saw the Commander! I am not a fan of the H3...it wishes it were half as nice as an H2 or a Hummer

I just wish it would get better mileage :b If I run a full tank on freeway trips only, I'll get 17-19 mpg, otherwise I barely get 14 city. Bleh.. I've kinda been looking at the Jeep Compass if I end up sticking with Jeeps (estimated mpg 25 city/29 hwy). I feel powerful in my Cherokee :lol:

I had no idea so many people here were interested in Jeeps

The Brute reminds me of the concept Jeep Gladiator. Obviously the Brute has a shorter bed and looks a little sportier, but it's interesting to see that Jeep is considering a production vehicle along those lines.

I think the concept Jeepster looks pretty interesting. Almost has a buggy look to it.

You also have it's cousin, the Halo Warthog... I mean the concept Jeep Renegade. This would be pretty interesting to see driving down the road. I wonder if it will come with a Spartan suit if they ever produce these.

The Jeepster has been around for a long time, it just has a new look.

The Gladiator has been around for a while too, it's new design gives it more of a Jeep look and less of a traditional truck look.
