I'm writing a story with specific particulars, and I need to know of a somewhat obscure Autobot who would be considered friends with Perceptor, and who I could kill off with little opposition.

Any ideas?

Hmm. Well, depending on your notion of "obscure", Skids, the resident daydreaming theoretician, comes to mind. Although I feel a bit guilty about suggesting the poor 'bot as a literary redshirt.

Hauler/Road Hauler (depending what you want to call him). Best part is, no one can tell you you're writing him wrong.

I'm always curious about anything that has Perceptor in it.

I guess another good thing about using Road Hauler, especially if you're basing it on the 'toon, is that your story could be the explanation for why he never showed up in the show again...

In More Than Meets The Eye, when Laserbeak blasts Hound over a cliff, he's pulled back up by a crane that looks like Grapple but who Cliffjumper calls "Hauler." Hauler is never seen or referred to again, although an ehobby recolour of Grapple was released as Road Hauler in tribute. As he had a construction vehicle alt mode, it's reasonable to assume he would be some sort of scientist or engineer, so would work as a friend of Perceptor.
