Interesting Vehicon Discovery

I just had a small thought after looking at the two different Eradicon toy molds.
As you can see one is thick and bulky, the other thin and sleek...
What if what we have here is actually evidence of genders amongst the Decepticon ranks?
I mean the thinner one looks very feminine to me. Its kind of a long shot but maybe Hasbro wants to show that the troopers aren't "Drones" but the whole Vehicon thing is actually the same as a military uniform>
Just want to see what everyone else thinks.

Due to his rather unique birth, Grimlock has a slow but endearing speech pattern, which can easily make you forget he's Godzilla with style. And weapons.

Re: Interesting Vehicon Discovery
I don't think the second one is meant to be "female". Yes, it's more slender, but in the same way as, say, Animated Blurr. The wide shoulders and narrow hips are very masculine. When they do a female figure, it's usually very obviously female, like Prime Arcee, 2007 Movie Arcee, or Animated Blackarachnia.

Maybe.. but I think it's just a different mold. Honestly until the cartoon shows it, I'm sticking to vehicons just having 1 gender.

robot genders are pretty ill-defined and pointless

hey it's a plausible idea. As yet there's not a single thing anywhere in anything official that we've seen that indicates it, but also, nothing that disproves it either. I've a sneaking suspicion that the Vehicons won't get any kind of development to change those fact any time soon, so if it works for you, fine, if it doesn't, then fine too.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.

While I'm with everyone else here in saying that it definitely was not Hasbro's intention, I find myself really digging the idea.
I can picture it...Megatron, believing that all freedom, even individuality, is a danger to the safety of Cybertronian civilization (aka his empire), requires of his soldiers an exoskeletal uniform that transforms along with the wearer...it would certainly be cooler than the standard "Vehicons are mindless drones" explanation, imo.

Time is a carved tombstone. All we can do is read the letters, one at a time.

Given Megatron is a Supreme Commander of an ARMY, you could say the slimmer Vehicons are for tactical purposes. Slimmer usually means more agile, faster. Mix up quick agile strike units with heavy units and you got yourself a good tactical blend.

I wouldn't call it evidence, I mean, the Vehicons are always that slender in the show, it's just that the first mold's, well, the first mold! and they had time to improve the toy design after that one.

Well, everytime we've heard a Vehicon talk and grunt and stuff, it's in a male voice, so that sorta disproves of it.

Genders are no more pointless than personalities, humanoid forms, human-like faces, and human-like voices that speak in English, but they serve the same purpose: giving the robots more character. Otherwise, you've got a cartoon about industrial robots beeping at each other.

not at all. maybe the girly-bots just like sounding tough, or maybe the EVIL Decepticons don't let the females speak. oooh, subtext!

While I agree that in the show there are no genders, I can see the OP's point. The new one does look to have very feminine hips and thighs. I could see it as a potential future Botcon exclusive. New head, done up in pink and white, and we finally have our car Arcee.

It's not female, it's just show accurate and misses the kibble that made the first one so broad.
