With all the nice features & sturdiness of him, I still don't like his feet though. Not because of it being flat or no ankle. More because the heels are not lock in place (for automorph). Its flimpsy & moves a bit, which doesn't support the figure well on standing or posing. Having that heel locked would make such a big difference on its balance.

There are other minor things I don't like, but its a good one overall.

It's very cool looking. It all so has a cool autmorph feature.

Does the spring-loaded chest contraption count as an automorph?

Weapon: Indepentently Targetable Particle Beam Cannons
What spring loaded chest contraption? the truck halves that double as shoulder pads? or the blue thing that flips up to become the chest center?

Anyway: I don't think any of those count. The Lower leg and foot is the only Hasbro certified automorph.

The hood-fender-doors pops out on springs. Isn't that anything auto?

I have two Ironhide figures...One of them will be converted into Trailbreaker. Like everyone said, he is pretty cool.

Nope, because they don't do anything, they just spring out, when you unhinge them from the peg holes.

Automorph as has been explained, entails a mechanism, that when you move one part of the figure, another part transforms by itself.

In the case of the legs and feet, when you pull down on the feet, the tires rotate back, and the truck bed flips to the side revealing the shins.

Weapon: Sword
I like how with a few www.reprolabels.com stickers, he can be converted to an Alternators-style Trailbreaker. (They say Classic Trailbreaker, but he would be bigger than Prime so I say Alternator Trailbreaker :) ).

The head is done by just turning it 180 degrees and applying a few stickers.

I said it when we saw the first prototype of Ironhide, and I'll say it again. Ironhide is totally supposed to be Trailbreaker
I guess they just could not secure the name, or thought Ironhide would be much more recognizable than Trailbreaker.

In any case he looks awesome with the repro-labels set. I might just do that myself.

I know this isn't the kitbash forum, but since the Ironhide to TBreaker conversion has been mentioned, check this out. A pretty easy headswap/kitbash and you have the Alternators head that was supposed to be TBreaker in that line but ended up being Swindle/Rollbar.
