the mold degredation is noticable in acid storm, but not nearly as pronounced. However, I'd rather pay 100 bucks for the pair rather than 600 that the botcon pair cost.

the botcon set had a few figures that I wasn't even interested. I would not be able to attend such an even as the cost would be extremely prohibative. (luck of being in canada) and the box is just extra packaging.

I admit I have the ultra magnust from the skywarp target set, but he's....hell I don't know where hte heck I stuffed it.

Anyway, its easier for me to spend 40 or 60 dollars every now and again than 325 dollars.

In the end, I paid 36 canadianfor my henkei thundercracker. So, it was not all that bad for me. I may not beable to get the other two so easily, but I can see.

hmm, now i have both botcon thrust and dirge but am still lookin forward to these. i need to see proper colour pics first tho to be sure. if i like them that much i may even consider selling my botcon pair, who knows....

I'm glad Thrust is getting the set of missiles similar to SS, TC, and SW. More G1-like that way. Nice to see the wing remolds. I do hope the QC is better, though. Henkei SW was fine, but TC has loose wings and launchers that don't stay mounted in the shoulder. I resolved that though with a drop of Super-Glue on each side.

Guess I won't need my extra Thrust and Dirge from Botcon, and I can keep the box set untouched.

Ya gotta love all these folks who were just sooooo positive we would never see these released now eating cyber-crowacon. I think this proves that with TakaraTomy, ANYTHING is possible. Hell, we could see evil Prime and good Megatron at some point over there. The bottom line is TakaraTomy OWNS the Transformers and will do whatever the hell they want with them and all the cybergeeks in the world saying stuff like, "Well Botcon owns those Thrust wings outright so we will never see Thrust," is asinine. Granted, they have a healthy respect for fandom, putting these last 4 Seekers out proves that. And having said that, I don't think they would ever license regular, popular characters to be Botcon exclusives. It's just insane. Now if only they would reign in the increasingly large sets being sold at Botcon. At this rate, by 2010 the sets will be up to 100 figures.

I have the Botcon set, but I'm still stoked that we're getting a G1-accurate Dirge and that others have a chance to get Thrust too. I'll probably buy both as long as they don't do anything wonky with the colors.

Now the dilemma. I'm low on cash at the moment and could use the flow. Do I sell the seekers from my Botcon set, as well as the box with pin? Hmmm....this won't be a snap decision b/c I don't want to regret it later.

Ooh, wing placement on Thrust is not so great.
Dirge shouldn't be too bad though.
I feel a wave of whining botcon customers coming though. Hey, at least you got them two and a half years early.

don't really care either way about the topic, saw it comming, (as i have both henkei and classix), i just wanna say i'll punch the next person that whines about whining. there's two sides to every story, so knock off the "hah, you stupid botcon people rar, know i kan have them all seekers toos!!!" ****.

just heard from my asian source = 150 give or take for the two.
i say bbts marks that up to close to 200 for both

More two Henkeis to my collection. Takara is the best. I just eard from my suplier from Singapure that he has a pre-order for Henkei D-07 Cyclonus another one for my collection.
This is great i will put it next to Galvatron.

I have 5-6 seekers including Henkei SW & TC. I don't mind getting a couple of more, but these new Henkei Coneheads are not must buy for me. On a related note, if these are getting new wings under Tomy, then they probably can be released at any place, including the US. But why sell them for $10 or $7.77 if they can be sold for $50 or more...

The price they're selling for in Japan is normal Japanese retail. No reason to think they'd sell for more if Hasbro released them as... I dunno, Target exclusives.

After picking up Thundercracker and Dirge off Ebay prices for reasonable deal (compared to what the go for now) I will finally have my missing piece - Thrust!
Since this announcement I have visited a few other boards where members have stated they will now sell off their Botcon sets. If you are someone who is interested in doing that let me know as I would love to buy your Botcon Thrust!

Personally I'm glad to hear this - I've been wanting a classics Thrust since SS and SW came out! If nothing else maybe it will drive botcon prices down so I can get that one...

Actually it's not sour grapes at all. Like I said I've got to enjoy these guys for two years now, and in the end I will have paid less and got more with the Botcon set.

It would be nice if Tak/Tom would release some of the older Botcon figures as exclusives in Japan. For example I would love to get the Ironhide and Rachet that were repainted from Energon Towline. I still prefer those to the TFU/Henkei versions of those two characters that are currently available. I don't see why this wouldn't be possible considering what is happening with the Botcon seekers.

I bought the games of deception set on ebay almost immediately after Botcon last year and I paid a fortune. More than that, I went overseas before the package arrived and so it's still sitting in my parents house waiting for my return.

I guess what it comes down to is I paid a vast amount to guarantee myself ownership of those figures. I'm the sort of collector who if I sense I might only have one chance to get a figure that I really want, I'll take it, and I'd do it again because I knew that whenever I looked at Starscream, Skywarp and Ramjet I'd have regretted not getting them.

As it turned out I would have had no reason to regret it but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I had just finished paying off my 2007 Bot-Con set when I made the down payment for TC and SW. I'm not opening them and I'm tempted to send them off for AFA grading. I'll probably do the same for Dirge and Thrust. I really can't complain about pricing since I paid extra for the set to begin with. I might get an extra of Dirge since he was the only cone head I owned and that was the reissue.

You know, I have Skywarp, Starscream, and Thundercracker from Henkai, and I haven't had Any notable C issues. Hell, my Club Nightbeat was worse of on QC than any of those...I've got mine preordered. and looking for a Henkai Ramjet to finish the deal...I only hope they give them Jet's missiles instead of the null style ones. They really should be matched to him more than Starscream.

As a side issue, I think people need to stop bashing Botcon people on this...I've seen a Very reasonable response from most posters, and this 'sour grapes' crap just hasn't happened that I can see.

Any Ya! I'm gonna have all my seeker squad....we just need 'Jetstorm'.
