John Ney Rieber & Jae Lee's Transformers/GI Joe

:BOT: During Botcon, Air Commander Starscream and I were talking about Transformers comics and he brought up John Ney Rieber & Jae Lee's Transformers/GI Joe crossover (the own published by Dreamwave). I had just read Jae Lee's Inhumans with Paul Jenkins and I absolutely love his art on The Dark Tower. It occurred to me that I never read this crossover and searched for it. It's out of print and a bit pricey but I found one for cover price.

While Jae Lee's art is not exactly suited for Transformers it fits the World War II setting surprisingly well. The story didn't do much for me but it's well worth owning for the art alone. :CON:

The artwork was overinked and waaaaaaaaay too dark. I could barely tell who any of the characters were. The idea was interesting but the problems with the art and mediocre writing destroyed it.

Also, IIRC the TF WWII redesigns were all done by Don Fig. Its a pity you can barely make them out in the comic.
