Lets all speculate/guess what the 7 Botcon 2012 Souvenir/add-on figures will be.

It could be 7 figures,maybe more,most likely 6. either way let the speculating & guessing begin below.

here's my speculations/guesses: I won't bother to list what these characters/toys go into SG or Classics. because that would get too confusing.

(1) Ratbat,using the HFTD Windwipe voyager sized toy.

(2)Generation 2 Ransak using the 2010 HFTD Highbrow toy mold.

(3)Seeker trio set. using either the HFTD Deluxe Terradive toy mold or the ROTF Thrust toy mold.

(4)Springer or 1988 mega pretender Cross-Blades or vortex using the 2010 HFTD Tomahawk Voyager sized toy.

(5)Jhiaxus,using the RTS Lugnuts 2010 toy mold.

(6)Liokaiser,mixing & matching the PCC toys to create the combiner

(7)Swindle,using the HFTD Brawn deluxe toy.

(8)My guess is the 2012 botcon box set figure called "Treadshot will use the HFTD deluxe mindset toy mold.

(9)I don't think the botcon 2012 convention nor club will bother to use the RTS Perceptor deluxe toy mold. because it's a weird looking toy. I don't think TFCC will attempt to turn RTS Perceptor into Reflector.

(10)I don't think TFCC will bother to use the RTS Deluxe wreckgar toy mold. because the toy is over used already. the mold already has wreckgar & two junkion characters attached to it. the only other cool option is for TFCC to call it gobots Cykill,recolor it in ckykill colors & give it a new cykill robot head.

The Terradive mold is off-limits, and I actually proposed that for Metalhawk. Tomahawk and the rest of his wave should be as well, due to them being completed too late to consider. Also, we'll have 4 figures, plus a possible Troop Builder pack, not to mention the Freebee and Customization figures. And one could to be "off-theme", meaning Wings figures are possible as well. So a minimum of 5 molds total.

Besides, we already have a Classics Springer (BotCon 2007 and Universe) and Ratbat (Universe)

Here are my wishes out of the possibilities:

1) SG Perceptor out of RtS Perceptor
2) SG Grapple or Classics Hauler out of RtS Grappel
3) Classics Road Rage should SG Tracks not be red

That's all I can think of.

That's what puzzling me. I suspect those molds were completed for the Generations line, but held back. I don't know, ask Sabrblade.

the G2 Prime toy was completed, and ready to ship, and then someone realised they'd made them in all-black plastic with teal and magenta accents and the whole lot had to be pulped and remade.

HFTD tomahawk & terrdive were both released before August 2010. this is plenty of time for terradive & tomahawk to qualify & get used as botcon 2012 convention toys. I suspect we will see terradive or tomahawk as botcon 2012 convention toys because their decent molds,their available to use & the selection is slim to pick thru for TFCC owners/staff due to the movie verse toys that appeared in the movie being off limits. also Transformers with liscensed alt modes are off limits for botcon/club toys.

Well, it's supposed to be Shattered Glass VS Classics and most of the boxset is SG so the other figures should be predominately Classics. The two that are included are Japanese (and European in Overlords case) so I think that will be the focus. So who does that mean? Deathsaurus, Megazarak, Leozack/Lyzack, Black Shadow and some others have already been done so maybe Chromedome, Star Saber, Victory Leo, Dinoking (from BW Neo Magnatron), Apeface (from BW 10th Anniversary line Primal), Minerva, Dai Atlas and the like are all still possibilities. And that's just from Japan.

Chromedome was released in the US, and no AEC molds. That includes BW 10th Anniversary Primal.

With the theme being Classics vs Shattered Glass, there's basically no limit to what FunPub can come up with.

I always thought the year 2005 Cybertron Menasor ultra sized toy mold would make a decent Diatulas toy.

It's kinda a shame they never did a animated darkwing & dreadwing using the Voyager sized Safeguard toy mold.
Flywheels would have made great animation botcon 2010 using the animated blitzwing toy.

You must mean Dai Atlas, or "Great Atlas" in Japanese. Japanese doesn't have a proper "tu" sound, it was turned into "tsu". Instead they use "to": Da-i-a-to-ra/la-su or Dai Atlas

I'm kind of baffled FP would throw away a perfect chance with the C-Menasor mold. With SG as part of the theme they could have easily made SG Omega Supreme, or rather Omega Doom as a Souvenir.

Even better, pair him with his supervisor: SG Ironhide, out of the Universe mold, who could be the Freebee

Don't rule out SG Ironhide. With the mould being used for SG Soundwave a SG/Diaclone Ironhide is far from out of the question. It also occurs to me that the phrasing used (IIRC) was there would be no A/E/C moulds in 'the set', do we actually know if this just means the boxed set or should be taken to include the on the day figures as well? SG Doom seems like such an obvious figure to put out I'm kinda surprised they havn't done him already.

Probably because the eligible candidates have run out, especially in the Cybertron department. Or maybe the molds have reached an age when usage becomes risky. I know the Armada Mini-Con molds have degraded beyond viable use, I could see the same thing happening with the larger ones.

With Botcon drawing closer, let's take another look at this topic.

The add-on/souvenir figures we have heard rumored (or confirmed) so far are:

SG Octopunch
Classics Kickoff
SG Junkions.

Given that the SG Junkions are most likely the troop building trio for this year, that leaves 2 pairs of souvenir figures plus 1 free attendee figure. So that's five figures and we only know two (Octopunch and Kickoff).

So who do you want/suspect the other 3 to be?

Personally, I'd love to see another G2 figure this year. Perhaps a blue Grimlock using either the Classics or Animated mold. Or Hooligan using the Energon Starscream mold, since he was depicted with that mold in the Botcon 2009 Wings of Honor comic.

Spinister from HFTD Tomahawk (possibly with the Vortex head)
Kick-Off (using the Jazz/Head from BotCon Treadshot)
Possibly SG Swindle from Generations Hound, though what's gonna happen to the gang-molded Ravage is unknown, maybe colour him as Catgut for Kick-off?.

While I do like the idea of a Swindle who gives to charity I really don't think the Hound mold works for him.

So is the attendee fig one of the already known figs or is that unknown at this point? I'm hoping it's NOT Kick-Off as I want him and would rather not pay $100 for it on its own...

Rumor I heard was that Octopunch would be the free attendee figure, but I personally find that hard to believe since he is a Voyager mold. Usually the freebie is deluxe sized. Also, the freebie is sometimes (but not always) a repaint of something else in the set (08 Ricochet, 09 Leozack). By that logic, Kickoff would be a good candidate to be the freebie. But we really won't know for sure til we get there.

I've heard that it could be Swindle...

I'd be good with either of the above...not interested in Octopunch, and at worst, can live without Swindle even if he's Classics accurate colors since FansProject's fills the need. If it's funky SG colors, don't need either way.

Unlikely, since that would break the trend stated above, namely it being a repaint of another toy in the total lineup:

2005 Flamewar: repaint of E-Arcee, used for Chromia and Flareup
2006 Unit 2 (Tigatron): repaint of Cheetor
2007 Mirage
2008 Richochet: repaint of Jazz
2009 Leozack: repaint of E-Starscream, used for Skyquake
2010 Decepticon Slice
2011 Fisitron aka Ironfist: repaint of Autotrooper

So far we've only had two exceptions.

I really thought SG Ironhide had a shot, but what I've heard instead is:

Macabre as Black Shadow repaint
Pretender Starscream as Black Shadow repaint
And
G2 SG Prime as G2 prime repaint

I really wanted an SG Ironhide...
