What details do you want to know?

You know there are detailed galleries on this site if you want to see them from every view.

Why? Same reasons you'd buy any other figure: you like the character, you like what you see in the galleries, you just want it, etc. I don't think we can give you the "why".

Why not?

Well they're very impressive display pieces that you can't really transform often, because they're too complicated and fragile, except for Prime. If you don't mind just displaying your figures and want something that looks really cool in your collection, go for it.

are they mad os diecast parts that will last like the G1 or plastic that will break if I open it up and transformer it over and over. I'll end up getting grimlock at least he has a led light

They all have a lot of small plastic parts which are quite breakable, and don't contain much diecast, except for Prime. He is definitely the most durable of all the Masterpiece figures.

If you want good representations of the G1 figures that you can play with and transform over and over, buy the Encores. As kirbenvost pointed out, these aren't toys, thus their MP name. They're display pieces that look absolutely great posed and put on a shelf. Sure, you can transform them if you so choose but doing so over and over will increase the risk that you may break it, especially Megatron IMO. They truly are Transformers for older/adult collectors.

You think that MP Thundercracker had poor execution - I had a a couple of issues with my MP-03 straight out of the box. The head was unattached (a complete sod to reattach) and one of the intake squares in robot mode is missing the red paint application.

I always think of the last release of a particular mold to be the least well executed. The mold generally suffers from loose joints, poor paint applications (anyone remember the paint applications on the RID brothers after the 3rd of 4th outing?).

I still want to get Skywarp (IMO the best executed of the seekers) but I will get Thundercracker too as it's a good mold.

I do remember reading about your problems with MP03. Guess they worked the kinks out before I got mine.

As for TC, at least with mine, he's living up to what you mentioned about the last of the mold. I'm exchanging mine and asked the BBTS folks to examine before shipping it to me.

Skywarp is definitely the best of the lot IMO.

With these QC problems, I have asked for MP Grimlock (and Henkei Thrust) to be opened and checked before sending. A real pain in the arse, but trying to do a return to Japan would be worse.

It would be nice to have quality that you can rely upon.
