MP Starscream: What's wrong with my head?

Postby WhiteNoise » Tue Mar 06, 2007 11:48 pm

Long time lurker, now a new recruit with a Masterpiece problem that I'm hoping someone can help me with.

My wife just bought me MP Starscream (as you can tell by the title). Awesome toy - I love it but what's wrong is that I can't get the head to move back into position when I try to get him back into Jet-Mode. It's that small piece of plastic that sits right behind his head and I can't get the head to fit back through it.

Getting his head through so I can get him into bot-mode was tough the first time, and the instructions don't really cover this part. Can someone shed some light here on what it is I am missing?

Thanks.

the head has to be positions just perfect for it to slip through. ive had this problem too, you just have to fiddle withit untill you find that right position. if i had my old camera ide just show you :-(

did you notice the tiny peg holes on the side and top of his head were his crown was supposed to plug on? lol

Months ago we all giggled about the MP Starscream teaser pictures, which depicted his crown. Now the giggles have turned to sorrow.

Regarding the head - I do the same thing that Immortal Starscream just described. I use my thumb and fingers to help position it before I bend the cockpit back in place.

I just noticed those head notches for the supposed crown - I was really hoping he was going to come with it. I still wonder why they decided to omit something small like that? I'm still betting someone will make their own crown and hopefully shoulder extensions and the cape someday.

I noticed that head has to be exact but it's like the upper brow on the helmet gets caught. I wiggled, twisted and flipped that head everyway I know how and I still can't get it through. Hmm, I may just take a small Dremel stone bit and sand down the inside corners if this is the way it's going to go... :-?

Just be careful with his head - I decapitated Starscream upon transforming the very first time. The first I knew about it was when the head bounced along the table

Starscreams' head is also a real pain to re-attach as you don't have much access thanks to the air intakes being in the way.

O_O Wow, how did that happen? Did it snap off, or did a pin come out? Were you able to get it back on?

Thanks Seibertron.

As for my ultimate dillema, I had to remove the head and pop it back onto the pegs to get it all working again. Good thing this will probably be one of the only times I transform this sucker.
