New Avengers/ The Transformers: Man and Machine #1 Review

The first issue of the New Avengers/ The Transformers crossover is due to hit comic stores July 5th. However, Comic News International was able to get an early look at the first issue and have posted a review. Read the review by clicking here.

On average, not like they used to, with TF's.... probably about the same. We seem to like the frustration.

So this comic focuses on the Avengers, with the Autobots appearing in the final page or two...

meh. Ill wait for reviews of parts 2-4 then think about the trade.

Ouch. Nevermind Marvel's yearly earnings, the persistence of the Eisner Awards, Warren Ellis' rise to becoming Internet Jesus...

Y'know, I feel a bit optimistic after reading this review. Civil War was, among other things, too shaky an evironment for this kind of crossover to take place, so it's good to know that we're dealing with the time before everything went terribly wrong--which is probably a lot easier for non-Marvel fans (like yours truly) to digest. I'm just generally curious to see what happens with the arc, and (since neither the New Avengers nor IDW continuity will be affected by what happens) just how it will all end.
