I wouldn't say I'm actually collecting Animated, but there's been a few figures (most notably Snarl and Swoop) that I've jumped on. Based on that image, I'd love it if Wheeljack joins that list. Perceptor, not so much... I don't really like that head...

I'd like to think that is not necessarily true. I know Hasbro said that they wouldn't be releasing the same characters in different lines to prevent confusion, but I think they threw that idea out the window.

We got Ratchet and Prowl in Universe after all.. so here's hoping! I would love both an Animated and a Universe Wheeljack.

Love em both.
I think it's great that Animated designs their characters so closely to their G1 counterparts. Clearly different, yet 100% recognizable. Perceptor's head rubbed me wrong at first, but I gotta admit, it does suit his egghead personality. Wheeljack is pure win. I wasn't into TFs until the 86 movie, so I missed out on a lot of early Autobot cars. G2 gave me a few, but these days it seems Animated is filling in the gaps for me!

Love Wheeljack! Perceptor is alright, but the egghead/ Brainiac look isn't working for me.

Ive been holding off on the Animated Line. I denied myself Soundwave, and almost caved on Swoop. I might just have to cave on wheeljack, depending on how well he translates to a toy.

Shame this means no Universe though...
