Old school DVD collection?
I'm sure many people on these forums collect the 80's cartoons that have been put onto DVD over the years..my question who has what?
I haven't purchased any box sets really..I tend to buy individual releases..
For example HMV has sold Transformers G1, I bought them all..
G.I. Joe..also collected them all..
I recently found out that Thundercats will be released again starting next month..the only Thundercats to date were bundled series and man are they expensive to get your hands on..
I also have found some He-Man dvds in random places I've visited and purchased those for amazing deals..like 20 dollars off retail or whatever..
What does everyone else have?

Lets see,
I own the first 3 box sets of the G1 Transformers series from Rhino. Season 1, Season 2 Parts 1 & 2.
Been meaning to get the last boxset. Season's 3 and 4
I have The first volume boxset of He-Man and of Thundercats.
2 volumes of Vehicle Voltron. Blue and Yellow
and all 4 sets of Batman Animated series though that's from the 90s.
I'm also eagerly awaiting the North American release of M.A.S.K.

the only 80's sets i have are transformers all of g1. Also robotech season 1. I have not collected others because of price but gi joe is cheeper now and maybe thundercats will be. iknow silver hawks was a grip of money. but heman is now on netflix instant watch so that is great and i think voltron is as well. I also started darkwing duck but i think that was early 90's maybe lat 80's but not sure.

I bought all of the Rhino boxsets. As soon as I got the last one, Shout Factory announced their sets. I picked up the Matrix boxset along with the GI Joe complete boxset and love those.
I recently purchased the Australian release of the Japanese Transformers cartoons before Shout announced theirs. I'm not double dipping on those however.
And I bought the Beast Wars set at BotCon.
I kinda want Masters of the Universe and Voltron.
Not completely retro but I have the DC animated boxsets from Batman: The Animated Series to Justice League Unlimited.

I have plenty, 80s nostalgic fiend that I am, but it's the gaps in my collection that irk me more than anything. Still (im)patiently waiting for them to round out my Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors collection. And Silverhawks. Grrr....

I still get a kick out of the music from the He-man series. Lot of those old school shows had neat music and really impressive opening themes.
Didn't really watch MASK, but I'll buy a copy just to support Shout! and hope they crank out some more obscure titles like Dinosaucers or something.

So far I only have:
Rhino Transformers G1 set (all of them)
Shout Factory! Complete Beast Wars
Beast Machines
As pricy as it is, I think I'm going to get that Complete Japanese Transformers set too. I haven't see any of that stuff yet...
And one of these days I'm gonna break down and get that G.I.Joe foot locker...

Re: Old school DVD collection?
I'm noticing a lot of people referring to a M.A.S.K. release, can anyone provide MORE details please?
I will have to do a web search in a few minutes..I mean seriously M.A.S.K. is being released..**** time to mark out haha..
That cartoon had a short life span but man was it amazing..the toy line was genius I still remember buying most of the toys and I still have the tucked away in boxes..

I'm starting to go Blu-Ray. I may get DVD's here and there, but for the most part, I'm getting Blu-Ray's from now on.
