So, I'm a completionist. In this world, that means spending hundreds of dollars on repaint after repaint until you have an entire bookcase of Starscreams in every color of the rainbow.

Nevertheless, I've put off investing in any of the Premium movie stuff to save my wallet. Since pictures don't seem to be doing much for me, any thoughts on any figures in the line that're must haves/must burns/etc?

From what I've seen> Eh. its really up to you. I find the new repaints nothing superbly spectacular over the originals save Premium Megatron.

And I haven't even bought him so go figure.

Wait til they hit clearance and grab em.

Any predictions as to when that may happen? I'm thinking about picking up Blackout since I missed him the first time, and getting him cheap would be a bonus!

The only one you HAVE to have is Premium Megatron, though I really like the Premium Optimus Prime as well. BB Ratchet was nice and I'm looking forward to Deep Space Starscream, but the rest all look a bit.... phoned in.

He's probably the only fig I'd get right away. Only cause I never saw him in stores the first time around. I've only seen a one, and my 1 year old son stepped on the box at Walmart, so I put it back.

I would say Megatron and Deep Space SS are the only "must have's" of this line.
Didn't ever get the originals of these.

I picked up Jazz because I never bought the original,
and Barricade because I wanted 2 of him, and can't find the original now anyway.
It did help that those 2 Deluxe figs. were only $7 each.

I've picked all of these up except for Deepspace SS which isn't out yet and BestBuy Rachet that I still plan on getting at some point. Megatron looks considerably better with the more movie accurate colors. The main reason I picked up Prime was the sword. The new head sculpt is okay and the paint slightly better. I liked the extra details on BB and Baricade enough to buy them. Blackout has some extra details and is more movie accurate in color. Jazz looks quite a bit better with the metalic paint, but it's hard to find one with a good paint job. All in all was it worth it considering I already have the originals? Probably not, but it had been a while since I bought any platic crack (aka Transformers) and I needed a fix.

Barricade and BB are worth it. The extra paint apps really help. Just make sure you look at them before you buy them they're known to have bad paint. Primes good too if u don't have normal prime or got $40 to blow.

Almost forgot Ironhide looks alot nicer too, with the extra details and glossy paint. If you already have the originals and are on a tight budget, pass. If you can afford to rebuy the movie like, these are nicer IMO.

I personally picked up Megatron, Jazz, Baricade, and Ironhide. I feel that all of these are worth the price. They certainly give a higher quality look to my collection over the originals.

However, knowing that you're a completionist I don't really know how to guide you on this one.

I'm "eh" on Blackout so I never bought him. I also bought Bumblebee and I thought that he was complete crap. His arm fell off with no provoking whatsoever and his waist was loose to the point that he couldn't stand right. The paint apps on the head were terrible and I hated the ugly grey plastic that they used for his arms and legs. If that would have been painted in the same silver as Premium Jazz he would have looked much better. I hated that figure so much that I actually took it back and replaced it with Overcast. Yes I hated it that much.

Oh and Prime wasn't enough of an upgrade for meto warrant buying again either.

I still haven't seen Deep Space Starscream yet so I'll make that decision later. I'm thinking that he's a buy though.

So I guess I'm about half and half on these guys. The ones that I bought I really like, the others I can leave.

Some aspects are better than the originals but they look so similar to them that I would pass for the most part. As for me, I have the originals and I am fine with them. Plus I have yet to see a Premium movie line in my region so I can not say on whether or not, they are worth it in terms of the paint applications.

I've been very disappointed with the PREMIUM delusxes that I have bought.

Loose, very loose. I think these molds are already getting near the end of their life. BB is on his like 7th or 8th release alone.

I have not bought and opened any of the larger. The only larger one I have is Blackout, but he's MISB.

I am very weary of buying these, and then the other side of me is weary of letting them pass, and wanting them later. Since I don't like the movie line much, I think that this will be okay for me to skip.

Innnnteresting, very interesting... and I think I've decided that I shall do my best to forgo my completionist instincts and (hopefully) only get a Megs, since that seems the one everyone can agree on - the others I'll have to take a look at as I see them.

Thanks everyone :3
