Highest i paid for a TF is £70 ($140) for a MISB Reissue predaking i got in malaysia. I have a few TF's that have hit that mark but mainly stuff i got in england.
Takara S-16 reissue opened G1 megatron (stickers unapplied) for £70 over a year ago. i just saw it hand couldn't help myself. the urge kicked in but i still love it.
£70 on a MISB 20th anniversary prime from ebay when it came out in america and wasn't around in the UK (and didn't look like it was gonna be out in the UK). that was a must have for me.
this hobby is where most ofthe disposable part of my student loan ended up...

Just to go ahead and ask, around $300 is what I should be expecting to pay for a complete G1 Piranaon, right?
$300 is decent price, no?

If its the boxed set, 400 is morelikely

Didn't the boxed set only hold five of the Seacons, or did you get all six of them? Because this loose complete set has all six...
Which brings the two reasons why I'm hunting G1 Piranacon. One, so I can have all six Seacons. Two, because I'm a big fan of the color blue and all its relatives; in other words, I love G1 Piranacon's paint scheme.

That would have to be a lucky draw figure of some sort.
I have paid in the $300 each range for a few figures (Botcon Megatron, Botcon Ratchet, Brave Max). I have lots of $100 - $200 figures.

Yes, the Botcon figures will run you a bunch of money, 'specially those ones there which are always in demand. I could have gotten Botcon Megatron for $500 and I passed, but I shouldn't have.

Did a lil' research... Couldn't find the giftset that you were speaking of an Ebay. Doesn't seem like anyone's got one for sale right now. The closest I could find was this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Japanese-transforme ... dZViewItem
For $450.
Meh...

The most expensive figure I've purchased (and I guess will ever purchase) was Fortress Maximus complete MIB. I think I paid around $1000CDN, but at the time the Canadian $ was a lot lower than it is now so it was probably in the $700US range.
I was never going to get that figure and it was just a strange decision one day where I decided I really wanted it. I have no regrets about it, though. I'm happy with the purchase.
It's funny how things go. When I started getting heavily into Transformers collecting again I had a hard time justifying to myself spending $60CDN on one figure (Armada Unicron), but over time I've now bought tons of figures worth more than that (Botcon figures, some G1, etc).
I guess if you have the money and get into it, you'll be surprised one day at how far you can go.

On my want list for sure. $250 is within the right range. Problem is, this is one figure I won't buy on eBay unless the seller is dead-on accurate with their description and that description says mint condition. Otherwise I'd have to see it in person to make sure it has no yellowing on the white, good condition, etc... I'd pay $250

On a singular figure, I will go to about $60.00. *
On a group of figures, I will go $200.00+ **
In general, I usually limit myself to $60.00 for the entire month and get as many figures as I can for that amount. ***
*= I am going to pay $100.00 (plus shipping) for Masterpiece Megatron, because he's a one time only thing and will be impossible to find after this. Well, at least for reasonable prices. (Check Craig's List in a Google search...$299.99 on one ad.)
**= Like the Movie line, when it released on June 2nd. I bought Optimus, Megatron, all the Deluxes (minus the Protoforms) and all of the Voyagers. June was an expensive month, I generally don't spend that much, but I was able to get quite a few figures for the price.
***= Sometimes I'll go slightly over, sometimes right on target, but generally below that. (Depending on store stock and what's available at the current time.)
After Masterpiece Megs, the new Allspark Power molds...I'm pretty much out of luck in terms of finding something to buy. Could save up dough for Classics/Universe 2.0 or buy some Wii games and a cooler accessory.
Hmm. This is gonna suck!

The most I've spent so far was for my MP Starscream (retail price, mind you). Other than that, it was the 3 Movie Leaders.
I guess my mark is about $50. I don't see myself spending more than that. I'm not interested in figures of the past, unless I happen find a really good deal on one. I'm just gonna try to collect as it goes from here.

That's a beautiful piece, but is not worth anywhere near that asking price. Maybe if it was AFA graded and even then that's pushing it.

The most I ever spent on single TF is $450 for MISB Liokaiser. If I can spend however much I want without my wife yelling at me it would be the Botcon Seekers. I am talking about somewhere between $300-$400 for 3 TFs. But right now it's a pipe dream of mine. I can only hope Japanese classics will release them at retail.

The $250 I paid for him got me a pristine Victory Leo. Perfect white wings, no scuffs, unused sticker sheet, and missiles still on the tree.
Ministry of toys on eBay. They're on the up and up.
