I wan the metalic versions, cos I don't have all of them and now that they bring the metalic versions out, I'll be getting them instead of the standard ones.

For one thing I don’t have all the movie figures, just most of them, two transscanning is new is all new figures, just the same characters.

Though on metallic figures, it all depends, after all I’m willing to buy regular voyager Megatron since its a completely different paint scheme, but if I had metallic ratchet I might not want to buy regular ratchet since those two figures aren’t much different, now if they made metallic Swindle, Payload Dreadwing, Dropkick or Longarm (which I highly doubt) I’d buy them in a heart beat, just because I love those molds and there grunts which I could all ways use more of.

I wont be buying the metallic figures. Its a ploy to make more money. If Hasbro had announced they would be putting out metallic figures from the start I sure as hell wouldnt have bought the non metallic versions and I doubt Im the only one. I consider the metallic versions to be superior to the current ones and for Hasbro to put out a inferior (imo) figure with no word of these ahead of time doesnt sit well with me. Of course I dont blame them, its finacially smart so cest la vie. I will be buying the trans scan figures however.
Looking for the Megatron gun (or just the stock) that came with 20th anniversary MP Optimus Prime.

No, and no. Not impressed with either metallic or transcan.

I'd only get the metallic versions of the figures I missed, like Ironhide for instance. Hopefully he'll have a metallic release too.

I love the Metallic figures. I plan on getting them but I hope they don't give anymore to Best Buy, who IMO really botched their 2 releases. I haven't been able to find Ratchet or Megatron because every time I go in they say they just put 2 out and never have anymore, and never a clue when more will come in. I am going to have to resort to Ebay...

I am not buying any of the silver repaint figures and I am waiting to see what the scanning figures are like before I decide. Since it is their protoform or Cybertron form, I might pick these up. I really need to see galleries of the prototypes or final figures before I make a final decision. Plus Hasbro needs to release them in the US. I won't import them.

I definitely agree. I was going to go the completist route for the movie figures, until I realised that I'd just be buying into the crookedness of it all. I was happy to buy Final Battle Jazz, G1 coloured Starscream, Thundercracker... but once the new Optimus Voyager, Cliffjumper BB and Jungle Bonecrusher were announced I realised that I'd be a freaking idiot to buy them. Ridiculous background stories and godawful colour schemes. And then this metallic thing... God knows how many more figures they're going to come out with just on repaints. If I don't stop now I don't see an end to it. New stuff like Stockade I'd still buy, but repaints ad nauseum, no way.

The transcanning figures though, are something new, and I have them on pre-order. I don't mind getting something new, and that's what I plan to do from now on. To purchase only new or different moulds.
