Revoltech suggestions?
My Revoltech Megatron arrived yesterday and I'm very happy with him.
The only problem is now that I've got him I feel like I want to buy more Revoltechs.
I live in Australia so my choice of retailers is somewhat limited.
BBTS and Xybertoys are the two options that I've found so far.
I plan to buy two more figures, and the price including shipping is about the same from either retailer.
The range available at the two shops is different though.
I do like the look of the winged Eva that is coming out soon, but it is somewhat short on accessories and weapons.
I'm considering getting that one plus either another Eva or a Patlabor.
BBTS has some other figures that look quite nice though. Dante, the Dougram Soltic and Dangaioh all look pretty cool too.
I haven't played Devil May Cry, or watched any Patlabor, Fang of the Sun Dougram or Dangaioh Hyper Combat Unit, so I'm not really familiar with any of those characters.
Does anyone here have an non-tf Revoltechs?
What are your opinions and recommendations?
Do you know of any other places I might be able to get Revoltechs from within Australia or online with reasonable shipping to Australia?

I finally ordered Convoy from Hobby Link Japan, and he was dirt cheap at 15.90US and only $4.85US shipping. http://www.xe.com lists exchange the rate as 1.00 JPY = about 0.01 AUD. http://www.hlj.com has just about every revoltech on the market for 1900 JPY, or $19 AUD. Since I live in the US, and I used Surface Air Lift it might arrive by the time I hit 30!
Seriously though, since you live in Australia I have to believe shipping will take little to no time at all. Therefor in short go with HLJ!!

Yes, HLJ sure does look like the place to buy. Much better than BBTS or Xybertoys.
After considering the other figures I've pretty much decided I'll get Eva-01 and Winged Eva-05. I considered Eva-01 F-Type but the extra armour looks like it may get in the way a bit and reduce the posability.

Hey... i'm 30!!! I agree go with HLJ, they are great, only i am wondering where their overstock was sent too considering they had some old gems in their stock adn are now gone and the words "Discontinued" appear in its place.. i think i'm gonna ask my source where to go.. it might be a great site to get older figures and collectibles if they are taking the left over stock from HLJ.. I'll get back to you on that..

The only Revoltech figure i own is Dante.
If you haven't played the games then he may not be for you. The only reason i got him is that he's by far the coolest videogame character ever. As such i really like the figure.
He only has them revolver joints in his knees and ankles, maybe his chest aswell, but his arms and the top of his legs consist of basic swivel joints. Which make him a little difficult to pose.
Other than that he is very well detailed and the paint application is top-notch. Although i have heard that is the case with the whole Revoltech line.

I have 13 Revoltechs in totall and everyone is a masterpiece, my particular favorites are Giant Robo, GR-2, Megatron, Type Zero, Griffon the all the Evas (all of them are great!). Not to detract from Convoy, Magnus, Ingram 1 or Mazinkaiser who are also awesome, In fact I love them all pretty much equally.
I do plan to shoot galleries of all my Revoltechs when I get the chance, click on the links above or my sig to take a look at how far I've got.
Yours AK

Ooooh, Macross ones too! Maybe we can get a VF-1S with boosters to stand in as Jetfire!
The Toynami 1/100 VF-1S I have is about the same size as my Revoltech Megatron anyway.
Thanks for the link Sheogorath, but it looks like HLJ is still cheaper.
