i think part of the problem is the mistated notion that this mp is somehow improved over mp-9 and as a result some people take him out of the box thinking hes sturdier when its the same mold flaws and all.
initially most of the reviews and in hand comments were very positive but this mold came out a few months after mp-9 v1 so its highly unlikely the one in all the tru's is the one with all the fixes. in the videos that ive seen all the pieces are pretty much identical to the takara release with the exception of course of the trailer and paint scheme.

hopefully you get lucky and find a good one.

Yeah, I wouldn't call anything with Masterpiece in it's name a toy. Don't be fooled, these are intended to be high end collector pieces. Mine is fine. All I've done is pose him though. I don't really transform much of my collection. They make it to robot mode, get put into a decent pose and into the case they go.

I've heard that many, many people have had trouble with the figure, but I don't get it. If you take it with the proper pace and don't rush, it goes just fine.

The same happen to mine with the stress mark below on one of the roof panels while I was transforming it back from car to robot. I used the blow dryer on high setting and it went away. Then I transformed him again and it happened on the same panel. I had to use the blow dryer again and it went away. I think I won't transform him again any time soon. The plastic there is weak.

I don't care for that much either. He fills a hole a collection, which is fine.
