So I finally figured out how to buy TFers without looking like a geek

Feel free to discuss anything about any of the thousands of Transformer toys here. Anything from Generation 1 all the way to the soon to be released, the never to be released or the hope to be released is fair game! Want to show off your stuff? Please post your's and see others in the Transformers Collections Forum.

ROFL @ Counterpunch.

I used to only worry about the looking geeky thing when the cashier was a cutie... Any dude that looks down on me for indulging in getting TFs can screw off. I know damn well he watched the cartoons back in the eighties and just cares too much about his social standing to let his inner kid out.

Then one day I realised I was happier living single than having a fiancee that I entrusted my debit card to one day and woke up to find a negative $500 account balance.

 I used to care only about what women I was interested in thought of me. Then I stopped dating, and stopped caring altogether. Now I go to the mall in a tank top, sweat pants and slippers. Couldn't be more comfortable.

Not only will you not be embarrassed about buying toys, but you'll probably get a chance to bang the cute cashier girl too.

(holy crap, did being a man about stuff die out with 80's rock?)

No shame for me. And I'm an 18 year-old who's out of school ATM, asking every other day "When will you guys get more of these?"

If I was worried about looking like a geek. I would not go around with a D-con hat(I have for 3 years I have a winter one as well) D-con or Starscream shirts. D-con Backpack and a tattoo of the D-con Symbol. People might think I am a geek, hell I call myself a geek or a nerd... which ever suits at the time.

I don't care what they think of me. They are incidental and insignificant.

Blow up dolls are non-returnable, or so I've heard.

I should hope so!

I don't see how buying tfs can be geeky. It's a hobby.

If she gives you a funny look, just say a chessy chat up line and she'll go right back to her job and ignore.
You can try it with the guys too, but I think that'd raise a few more eyebrows :P

Unfortunately for many "men," being a man and what that entails was left out for some reason.

I've been known to buy Transformers while wearing a shirt that says "GEEK" on it. 8)
