Some Questions on MP Prime
I've had a few days now to play around with MP Prime, and by far my favourite aspect is the transformation. Still I have some questions I hope you can help
1. I can't understand the Japanese instructions at all on where to put the batteries
2. In the accessories area, I get two black plastic screw like thingies. They are very reminiscent of the type of thing you have under some furniture that allows you to screw and unscrew so as to make even all legs. What are these for?
3. Do any of you have difficult posing him, particularly his lower limbs? I find that his knee can't get to 90º. Also, because his hip abduction/ adduction plane joint is ratchetted, I find that each click increases his abduction greatly, by around 25 to 30º. Consequently I have problems doing lots of the poses with the lower limb than I can, say Movie Leader Prime. does anyone else have similar problems? I'm tempted to display him in alt mode if I can't get this fixed, which would be a shame.
4. Does anyone know where I can still get the long smokestacks to attach to 20th Anniversary Prime?
Thanks!

American Instructions might clear some of it up:

Fairly easy. Couple of small screws and 2 springs.

Thanks for that, but what about the plastic screw like things? And any comments on the ratchet joints making posing difficult?

^ I think the plastic screw things are probably the attachment parts for the paper trailer you could make out of the original box. Otherwise, I don't think they're used for anything else.
The ratcheting is a bit hindering to the posability, but it's not too bad. I find if you pull down his heels a bit and push in the rear piece to raise the heels, it corrects his balance a bit. Sometimes it's only necessary on one foot, depending on the post.

As long as we're talking about the replacement stacks, I order some from Ages 3 and Up a couple of weeks ago and still have not received them. I'm sure others on here have ordered from them, how long does it take to receive your stuff and who do they use for shipping?

MP-01 comes with a clear plastic tray that holds the Energon axe, the Megatron gun, the Prime blaster, and attached to the tray is a small satchet containing these two plastic things of which I speak.

Are you sure the batteries need to be changed? If it's brand new, they should already be in there. You need to push hard on the lever to make the light in the matrix shine.

Only problem i have with my MP Prime is the ball socket on his foot is loose and ti keeps falling off.
I won't risk changing the smoke stacks cause I fear tiny springs.
And you have me lost on the furniture feet things

Since it always pops back on and I have one boxed, I never looked into it. After all, Clear nail polish on a comon basic is one thing, but who wants flakes on a masterpiece(if you can call it that with a foot always falling off)?
There is always the shady trip to Walmart and getting the DVD Prime, switching out the robots, then returning it.
Still, since this is a mostly display figure, I can't bring myself to cough up the extra $70, even if only for a few hours.

I have the 20th Anniversary Prime so swapping him for a DVD Prime wouldn't work not to mention I like the 20th Prime better

Instead of nail polish would superglue work? It wouldn't rub off or flake after a while

I've done the crazy glue thing with a 2004 20th (non DVD) Prime's feet. I was scared at first, but it worked like a charm. I popped off the foot, put a teeny tiny bit of krazy glue on the ball, spread it around, put the foot back on and moved it back and forth continuously for a couple of minutes. Every few hours for the rest of the day, I'd move it back and forth again (supposedly it doesn't totally dry for 24 hrs). It worked great.
